Loading
Safety

High
gross
weight
can
overheat
the

high-performance engine
General
information With
a
4.4
liter
displacement,
the
V8
high-perj
formance
engine
generates
a
maximum
power
of 600
hp,
with
Competition
Package
617
hp
and
amaximum
torque
of
553
lbs
ft/750
Nm.
With
its
spontaneous
response
behavior,
a
speed
range of
wide
utility
results.
The
maximum
engine
speed
is
7,200
rpm
and
is
electronically
controlj led.
Because
of
the
high
engine
dynamics,
the
maximum
engine
speed
with
the
vehicle
stationj ary
is
reduced.
Warm-up
During
the
engine
warm-up
phase,
the
V8
high- performance
engine
has
a
somewhat
rougher
running
behavior
because
of
the
emission
conj trols.
When
the
engine
is
cold,
the
exhaust
gas
system has
a
slightly
metallic
undertone
due
to
the
naj ture
of
the
system.

Compound
brake
General
information
The
high-performance
braking
system
has
perj
forated
compound
brake
discs.
Because
of
particular
structural
characteristics,
there
may
be
operation-related
noises
during
braking.
The
functional
noises
have
no
effect
on the
performance,
operational
reliability,
and
duraj
bility
of
the
brake.
M
carbon
ceramic
brake
The
high-performance
braking
system
has
perj
forated
carbon
ceramic
brake
discs.
Due
to
properties
of
the
materials
used,
braking may
be
associated
with
louder
function
noises,
particularly
in
wet
conditions,
just
before
the
vej
hicle
comes
to
a
stop.
Increased
functional
noises
have
no
effect
on
the
performance,
opj
erational
reliability,
and
durability
of
the
brake.
The
effects
of
moisture
and
road
salt
from
using
a
vehicle
wash,
dew
formation
overnight,
driving in
rain,
etc.,
may
render
the
braking
effect
comj
parable
to
that
of
a
conventional
braking
system. The
braking
effect
may
be
perceived
to
be
rej
duced
and
can
be
compensated
for,
if
needed,
by
pressing
the
brake
pedal
harder.
First
clean
brake
discs
and
calipers
with
a
steam
cleaner
or
high
pressure
cleaner
before
washing the
vehicle
in
an
automatic
vehicle
wash
or
carwash.
This
prevents
salt
crystals,
for
instance,from
causing
crusty
deposits
and
buildup
to
form
if
the
vehicle
then
remains
stationary
for
a
period of
time.
The
cleaning
effect
of
automatic
carwashes
or
wash
tunnels
is
usually
not
adequatefor
this
in
the
area
around
the
wheels.
