Fuel
quality
General Depending
on
the
region,
many
filling
stations
sell
fuel
that
is
adapted
to
winter
or
summer
conj ditions.
Fuel
that
is
sold
in
winter
facilitates
cold
starting,
for
example.
Petrol
General For
optimal
fuel
consumption,
the
petrol
shouldbe
sulphur-free
or
low
in
sulphur
content.
Fuels
labelled
on
the
pump
as
containing
metal
must
not
be
used.
You
can
fill
up
with
fuels
with
a
maximum
ethanol content
of
10
%,
in
other
words
E10.
The
engine
has
knock
control.
This
means
that
different
petrol
grades
can
be
used.

Principle BMW
Diesel
with
BluePerformance
reduces
nij
trous
oxides
in
the
diesel
exhaust
by
injecting
the
reduction
agent
AdBlue
into
the
exhaust
stream.
In
the
catalytic
converter,
this
produces
a
chemij
cal
reaction
that
minimises
the
nitrous
oxides.
General The
vehicle
has
a
tank
which
has
to
be
topped
up.
To
be
able
to
establish
drive-ready
state
in
the usual
way,
sufficient
reduction
agent
must
bepresent.
Reduction
agent
can
be
topped
up
at
any
time. AdBlue
reduction
agents
is
a
registered
tradej
mark
of
the
Verband
der
Automobilindustrie
e.
V. (VDA).
Reduction
agent
is
available
at
many
service
staj tions.
Preferably
add
reduction
agent
at
a
pump
disj
penser,
see

low
temperatures
Due
to
its
physical
properties,
it
is
possible
that
reduction
agent
has
to
be
topped
up
more

quently
at
temperatures

certain
circumstances

particularly
dynamic
driving
style
m
topping up
between
maintenance
appointments
more
than
once
may
be
necessary.
As
soon
as
the
reserve
level
indicator
is
shown
in
the
instrument
cluster,
have
the
reduction
agent topped
up,
to
prevent
drive-ready
state
from
nolonger
being
able
to
be
established.

General
When
refuelling,
insert
the
filler
nozzle
fully
into
the
filler
neck.
Lifting
the
filler
nozzle
during

elling
results
in
the

supply

cut
off
prematurely.'xOverflow
of
reducing
agent.
The
tank
for
the
reducing
agent
is
full
when
the filler
nozzle
cuts
out
for
the
first
