help todecisively reduce the time between an
accident and the ar riva l of emer gency services
at the site of the accident. It helps locate an
accident site in places that are dif ficult to
access.
The emer gency call can be made au tomatical ly
( → page 291) or manually . Only make emer‐
ge ncy calls if you or others are in need of res‐
cue. Do not make an emer gency call in theeve nt
of a breakdown or a similar situation.
