CHANGING A WHEEL
Parking the vehicle
Immobilise the vehicle where it does not block traffic: the ground must be level, stable and non-slippery ground.
Apply the parking brake, switch off the ignition and engage first
gear (position P
for the automatic gearbox) to lock the wheels.
Check
that the parking brake indicator lamps are on fixed (not
flashing)
in the instrument panel.
It is imperative that you ensure that the occupants get out of the
vehicle and wait where they are safe.
If necessary, place a chock under the wheel diagonally opposite
the wheel to be changed.
Never go underneath a vehicle raised using a jack; use an axle
stand.
Security socket: for adaptation of the
wheelbrace to the special "security" bolts.
Specific
to
your
vehicle,
it
is
stored
in
the
glove box.
Wheelbrace:
for
removal
of
the
wheel
fixing
bolts.

ack with integrated handle: for lifting the
vehicle.
TOOLS REQUIRE d*
Bolt cover removal tool: for removal of the
bolt
finishers (covers) on alloy wheels.

Depending
on
the
country of sale, the vehicle may be equipped with
the tools needed to change a wheel and a spare wheel (see following
pages). Do not use:
-
the jack for any purpose other than lifting the vehicle,
-
a jack other than the one supplied with the vehicle.
If the jack supplied with the vehicle is not present, contact a
PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop to obtain the jack
defined
for the vehicle by the manufacturer.

REMOVING A WHEEL
F Position the foot of the jack on the ground directly below one of
the two front A or rear B jacking points provided on the underbody,
whichever is closest to the wheel to be changed.
F
Remove the cover on each of the bolts using the bolt cover removal
tool.
F
Fit the security socket on the wheelbrace to slacken the security
bolt.
F
Slacken the other bolts using the wheelbrace only
.
F
Extend the jack until its head comes into contact with the jacking
point
A or B used; the vehicle's contact area
A or B must be
correctly engaged with the central part of the head of the jack.
Ensure that the jack is stable. If the ground is slippery or loose,
the jack may slip or drop. - Risk of injury!
Ensure that the jack is positioned only at one of the jacking
points A or B under the vehicle, making sure that the vehicle's
contact area is centred on the head of the jack. Otherwise there is
a risk of damage to the vehicle and/or of the jack dropping - Risk
of injury!

F Raise the vehicle until there is sufficient space between the wheel and the ground to admit the spare (not punctured) wheel easily.
F
Remove the bolts and store them in a clean place.
F
Remove the wheel.
FITTING A WHEEL
F Put the wheel in place on the hub.
F
Screw in the bolts by hand.
F
Pre-tighten the security bolt using the wheelbrace fitted with the
security socket.
F
Pre-tighten the other bolts using the wheelbrace only

F
Lower the vehicle fully
.
F
Fold the jack and detach it.

TOOLS AN d SPARE WHEEL *
Depending on the country of sale, the vehicle is equipped with the tools needed
to change a wheel and may also be equipped with a spare
wheel.
The spare wheel is stowed in a protective cover
, secured to the boot
floor
with Velcro
®.
The
tools
are
held in a storage box under the boot floor.
Never drive with the rear seat folded when the
spare wheel - or a punctured wheel - is present
in the boot.
Warning marking
"Do not release the backrest of the rear seats!"

F Tighten
the
security
bolt
using
the
wheelbrace
fitted
with
the
security socket.
F
T
ighten the other bolts using the wheelbrace only.
F Refit
the
covers
on
each
of
the
bolts.
F
Store the tools in the storage box.
After changing a wheel
Have the tightening of the bolts and the pressure of the new wheel
checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop without
delay
.
