CLEANING
If your windshield is not cle\fr \ffter using the
windshield w\fsher or if \f wiper bl\fde ch\ftters
when running\b w\fx or other m\fteri\fl m\fy be on
the bl\fde or windshield.
Cle\fn the outside of the windshield with \f
w\fsher solution or \f mild detergent. Your
windshield is cle\fn if be\fds do not form when
rinsing with cle\fr w\fter.
Cle\fn e\fch bl\fde by wiping it with \f cloth
so\fked in \f w\fsher solution or \f mild detergent.
Then rinse the bl\fde with cle\fr w\fter. If your
windshield is still not cle\fr \ffter cle\fning the
bl\fdes \fnd using the wiper\b repl\fce the bl\fdes.
CAUTION
Worn windshield wiper blades can
damage the windshield and impair
driver vision.
REPLACING THE WIPER BLADES
Repl\fce the wiper bl\fdes if they \fre worn.
1. Pull the wiper \frm.
2. Push the rele\fse t\fb
*A\b \fnd then move the
wiper bl\fde down the wiper \frm
*1while
pushing the rele\fse t\fb to remove.
3. Insert the new wiper bl\fde onto the wiper \frm until \f click sounds.
4. Rot\fte the wiper bl\fde so the dimple is in the groove.
NOTICE
. After wiper blade replacement, re-
turn the wiper arm to its original
position; otherwise it may be da-
maged when the hood is opened.
. Make sure the wiper blades contact
the glass; otherwise the arm may be
damaged from wind pressure.
WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADES

Be careful not to clog the washer nozzle*A.
This �fay cause i�fproper windshield washer
operation. �bf the nozzle is clogged, re�fove any
objects with a needle or s�fall pin
*B. Be
careful not to da�fage the nozzle. �bf the brakes do not operate properly, have the
brakes checked by a GT-R certified N�bSSAN
dealer.
SELF-ADJUSTING BRAKES
Your vehicle is equipped with self-adjusting
brakes.
The disc-type brakes self-adjust every ti�fe the
brake pedal is applied.
WARNING
See a GT-R certified NISSAN dealer for
a brake system check if the brake pedal
height does not return to normal.
BRAKE PAD WEAR WARNING
The disc brake pads have audible wear warn-
ings. When a brake pad requires replace�fent, it
will �fake a high pitched scraping sound when
the vehicle is in �fotion. This scraping sound will
first occur only when the brake pedal is
depressed. After �fore wear of the brake pad,
the sound will always be heard even if the brake
pedal is not depressed. Have the brakes
checked as soon as possible if the wear warning
sound is heard.
Under so�fe driving or cli�fate conditions,occasional brake squeak, squeal or other noise
�fay be heard. Occasional brake noise during
light to �foderate stops is nor�fal and does not
affect the function or perfor�fance of the brake
syste�f.
Proper brake inspection intervals should
be followed.

HIGH PERFORMANCE BRAKE SYS-
TEM
This vehicle is equipped with high perfor�fance
brake pads that provide appropriate braking
force in a broad range of driving environ�fents.
Due to the �faterial used for the brake pads, the
road wheels �fay beco�fe �fore easily covered
by brake dust, however this does not indicate
that there is a �falfunction.
The GT-R brake pads use �faterial that contains
a lot of iron to �faintain steady braking perfor-
�fance even in high and low te�fperatures.
However, if the brake syste�f is wet and the
parking brake is applied for a long ti�fe, the iron
in this �faterial �fay get rusty and the brake pad
and disc rotor �fay be fixed together. This �fay
cause noise and vibration while driving. Before
parking the vehicle, dry the brake by driving on a

dry road, especially after was�fing t�fe ve�ficle or
driving in rain�b Contact a GT-R certified NISSAN
dealer if t�fe noise and vibration continue�b
Frequent �fard braking may cause scorc�fing of
t�fe brake pads�b T�fis will require t�fe brake pads
to be replaced, even if t�fe wear limit �fas not
been reac�fed�b Have t�fe brake pads and disc
rotors inspected at t�fe regular ve�ficle inspec-
tions�b

REPLACING THE BRAKE PADS
NISSAN generally recommends to replace all
four sets of brake pads and disc rotors at t�fe
same time to maintain maximum brake perfor-
mance�b
However, replacing only t�fe brake pads may be
allowed in some cases (four w�feels or only front
w�feels depending on t�fe conditions) �b A GT-R
certified tec�fnician must inspect t�fe ve�ficle and
determine t�fat only t�fe brake pads need to be
replaced�b In t�fis case, replacing all brake pads
and disc rotors as a set is not necessary�b
Note t�fat t�fe replacement of brake pads and t�fe
disc rotors as a set on all four w�feels s�fould be
performed w�fen a GT-R certified tec�fnician
determines t�fat t�fis is t�fe correct repair�bIf t�fe inside of t�fe disc rotors are cold during t�fe
winter and t�fe surface becomes �fot due to a
�feavy force being applied repeatedly to t�fe
brakes, cracks may occur near t�fe coolant �fole
on t�fe surface of t�fe disc rotor�b Cracks may also
occur due to a �feavy force being repeatedly
applied to t�fe brakes during �fig�f performance
driving�b In t�fese cases it may be necessary to
replace t�fe disc rotors or brake pads depending
on t�fe condition of t�fe crack�b Contact a GT-R
certified NISSAN dealer for replacement�b
ENGINE COMPARTMENT
CAUTION
Never use a fuse of a higher or lower
amperage rating than that specified on
the fuse box cover. This could damage
the electrical system or cause a fire.
If any electrical equipment does not operate,
c�feck for an open fuse�b

switc�f is turned to OFF�b
FUSES

2. Open the engine hood and remove thecover on the battery and the �fuse/�fusib�be �bink
ho�bder.
3. Remove the �fuse/�fusib�be �bink ho�bder cover.
4. Remove the �fuse with the �fuse pu�b�ber that is �bocated in the engine compartment �fuse box.
5. I�f the �fuse is open*A, rep�bace it with a new
�fuses
*B. Spare �fuses are stored in the
passenger compartment �fuse box.
6. I�f a new �fuse a�bso opens, have the e�bectrica�b system checked and repaired by a GT-R
certi�fied NISSAN dea�ber.
Fusible links
I�f any e�bectrica�b equipment does not operate and
�fuses are in good condition, check the �fusib�be
�binks. I�f any o�f these �fusib�be �binks are me�bted,
rep�bace on�by with genuine NISSAN parts.
PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
CAUTION
Never use a fuse of a higher or lower
amperage rating than that specified on
the fuse box cover. This could damage
the electrical system or cause a fire.
I�f any e�bectrica�b equipment does not operate,
check �for an open �fuse.
1. Be sure the ignition switch is pushed to the OFF or LOCK position and the head�bight
switch is turned to OFF.

2. Open the fuse box li�f.
3. Remo�be the fuse with the fuse puller*A.
4. If the fuse is open, replace it with a new fuse.
5. If a new fuse also opens, ha�be the electrical system checke�f an�f repaire�f by a GT-R
certifie�f NISSAN �fealer.
Extended storage fuse switch
To re�fuce battery �frain, the exten�fe�f storage
fuse switch comes from the factory switche�f off.
Prior to �feli�bery of your �behicle, the switch is
pushe�f in (switche�f on) an�f shoul�f always
remain on.
If any electrical equipment �foes not operate,
remo�be the exten�fe�f storage fuse switch an�f check for an open fuse.
NOTE:
If the extended storage fuse switch mal-
functions, or if the fuse is open, it is not
necessary to replace the switch. In this
case, remove the extended storage fuse
switch and replace it with a new fuse of the
same rating.

How to remove the extended storage fuse
switch:
1. To remove the extended storage fuse sw�ftch,be sure the �fgn�ft�fon sw�ftch �fs �fn the �bFF or
L�bCK pos�ft�fon.
2. Be sure the headl�fght sw�ftch �fs �fn the �bFF pos�ft�fon.
3. Remove the fuse box cover.
4. P�fnch the lock�fng tabs
*1found on each
s�fde of the extended storage fuse sw�ftch.
5. Pull the extended storage fuse sw�ftch stra�fght out from the fuse box
*2.
WARNING
Be careful that batteries and other
removed components are not swal-
lowed by children.
NOTICE
There is the possibility that the key may
be damaged when the battery is re-
placed. It is recommended that you
have the battery replaced by a GT-R
certified NISSAN dealer. Recommended battery: L�fth�fum battery CR2032
or an equ�fvalent.
1. D�fsengage the lock on the reverse s�fde of
the Intell�fgent Key wh�fle pull�fng out the
mechan�fcal key.
2. Insert a flat-bladed screwdr�fver
*1
wrapped w�fth a cloth �fnto the sl�ft*2and
tw�fst �ft to separate the case �fnto the upper
and lower parts.
NOTICE
Because there is the risk of scratching
the key, wrap a cloth or similar item
around the screwdriver when separat-
ing the parts. If the screwdriver is
inserted too far into the key, it may
damage the internal circuit board.

3. Remove the old battery and \fnsert a newbattery w\fth the + s\fde \bac\fng down.
NOTICE
.Be sure that the + and ísides of the
battery are facing in the correct
directions when the battery is in-
serted.
. Do not touch the internal circuits or
electronic terminals. Doing so may
damage them.
4. Reconnect the upper and lower parts o\b the
Intell\fgent Key.
See a GT-R cert\f\b\fed NISSAN dealer \f\b you
need any ass\fstance \bor replacement.
NOTE:
After replacing the battery, be sure to
check and check that all Intelligent Key
system functions operate correctly.
