Indicator and warning lamps
Certain warning lamps may come on in one of two modes: fixed (continuous) or
f
lashing.
Only
by relating the type of illumination

o the operation of the vehicle can it
be
determined whether the situation is
n
ormal or a fault has occurred. In the
e
vent of a fault, the illumination of the
w
arning lamp may be accompanied by
a
message.

When the ignition is switched on
Certain warning lamps come on for a few s econds in the instrument panel when the
v
ehicle's ignition is switched on.
When
the engine is started, these same
w
arning lamps should go off.
If
they remain on, before moving off, refer to the
i
nformation on the warning lamp concerned.
Associated warnings
The switching on of certain warning lamps may be accompanied by an audible signal and a
m
essage.
The
warning lamps may come on continuously
(
fixed) or flash.
The
position of the warning lamps in the
t
ype 2 instrument panel depends on the
c
olour scheme selected.

Operation indicator lamps
If one of the following indicator lamps comes on in the instrument panel, this confirms that the corresponding system has come into operation.

Engine oil level indicator*
On versions fitted with an electric oil level indicator, the state of the engine oil level is
d
isplayed in the instrument panel for a few
s
econds, after the servicing information.
The
level read will only be correct if
t
he vehicle is on level ground and the
e
ngine has been off for more than
3
0 minutes.
Oil level correct
Oil level incorrect
This is indicated by the display of the message "Oil level incorrect" in the instrument panel
s
creen, accompanied by the service warning
l
amp and an audible signal.
If
the low oil level is confirmed by a check using
t
he dipstick, the level must be topped up to
a
void damage to the engine.

to the "Checking levels" section.
Oil level indicator fault
This is signalled by the display of the message "Oil level measurement invalid" in the instrument panel.
Contact
a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
w
orkshop.
In the event of a fault with the electric indicator, the oil level is no longer monitored.
If
the system is faulty, you must check the
e
ngine oil level using the manual dipstick
l
ocated under the bonnet.

Lighting dimmer control
Allows the manual adjustment of the brightness of the instrument panel and touch screen tablet to suit the ambient light level.
Operates
only when the vehicle lighting is on, with the exception of the daytime running lamps.

to reduce it.

soon as the lighting reaches the required

evel of brightness, release the button.
