Instrument panel Switch panel
A. With the ignition on, the fuel gauge nee-
dle should rise.
B. With the engine running, the associated
low level warning lamp should go off.
C. With the ignition on, the oil level in-
dicator should display "OIL OK" for
a few seconds.
If the levels are not correct, top up the level
which is low.
Ilumination of the indicator lamp gives
the status of the corresponding function.
A. Deactivation of the ESP/ASR system.
1. With the ignition on, the orange and
red warning lamps come on.
2. With the engine running, these warning lamps should go off.
If a warning lamp remains on, refer to
the page concerned.

DRIVING SAFELY
Speed limiter "LIMIT" Instrument panel display
1. Selecting/Switching off speed limiter
mode.
2. Decrease the programmed value.
3. Increase the programmed value.
4. Speed limiter on/off.
The values must be set with the engine
running. The cruise control or speed limiter mode
appears ino the instrument panel when
it is selected.
1. Selecting/Switching off cruise con-
trol mode.
2. Decrease the programmed value.
3. Increase the programmed value.
4. Off/return to cruise control.
In order to be programmed or activated,
the vehicle speed must be higher than
25 mph (40 km/h), with at least fourth
gear engaged on a manual gearbox
(second gear on an automatic gearbox).

Panel which groups together the vehicle operation dials and indicator la\

Adjusts the brightness of the lighting of the instruments and controls.

Indicates the speed of rotation of the engine (x 1 000 rpm).
2. Fuel gauge.
Indicates the quantity of fuel remain- ing in the tank.
3. Coolant temperature.
Indicates the temperature of the en- gine coolant (°Celsius).
4. Speedometer.

The level shown will only be correct
if the vehicle is on level ground and
the engine has been off for more
than 30 minutes.
Engine oil level indicator * Oil level correct
Oil level low Oil level indicator fault
This is indicated by the fl ashing of
"OIL" , accompanied by illumination of
the service warning lamp, an audible
signal and a message.
If the low oil level is confi rmed by a
check using the dipstick, the level must
be topped up to prevent damage to the
engine.
Refer to the "Checking levels" section. This is signaled by the fl ashing of
"OIL--" .
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a quali-
fi ed workshop.
On vehicles fi tted with an electric oil level
indicator, information on the oil level is
displayed in the instrument panel for a
few seconds when the ignition is switched
on, after the service information.
* Depending on version. In the event of a fault with the elec-
tric oil level indicator, the engine oil
level is no longer monitored.
While the system is faulty, you
should check the engine oil level
using the manual dipstick located
under the bonnet.
Refer to the "Checking levels" sec-
tion.

LIGHTING CONTROL STALK
System for selection and control of the
various front and rear lamps providing
the vehicle's lighting.
Manual controls
The lighting commands are made di-
rectly by the driver by means of ring A
and stalk B .
A. main lighting mode selection ring, with:
Model without AUTO lighting
Model with AUTO lighting lighting off,
automatic illumination of
headlamps,
sidelamps only,
B. stalk for inversion of the beam by pulling:
dipped/main beam headlamps. dipped or main beam
headlamps.
Displays
The corresponding indicator lamp comes
on in the instrument panel to confi rm the
switching on of the lighting selected.
Main lighting
The vehicle's various front and rear
lamps are designed to adapt the driv-
er's visibility gradually in relation to the
climatic conditions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
- dipped beam headlamps to see
without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps for good vis- ibility when the road is clear.
Additional lighting
Other lamps are installed to respond to
particular driving conditions:
- rear foglamps to be seen from a dis-tance,
- front foglamps for even better visibility,
- directional headlamps for improved visibility around corners.
Programmes
Various automatic lighting control
modes are also available according to
the following options:
- "guide-me-home" lighting,
- automatic illumination of headlamps,
- static directional lighting. In the lighting off and sidelamps modes,
the driver can switch on the main beam
headlamps directly ("headlamp fl ash")
by pulling and holding the stalk.

Model with front and rear foglamps front and rear foglamps
C. foglamps selection ring.
These operate with the dipped and
main beam headlamps.
 To switch on the foglamps, turn ring
C
forwards.
 To switch off the rear foglamps, turn ring C rearwards twice in succes-
sion.
When the lighting is switched off auto-
matically (on AUTO model) or when the
dipped beam headlamps are switched
off manually, the foglamps and the side-
lamps will remain on.
 Turn the ring rearwards to switch off the foglamps, the sidelamps will
then switch off.
Do not forget to switch off the front
foglamps and the rear foglamps
when they are no longer neces-
sary. In normal light levels, the
power of their beams may dazzle
other drivers.
Lighting on after switching off
the ignition
To reactivate the lighting control, turn
the ring A to position "0" (lighting off),
then to the position of your choice.
On opening the driver's door, a tempo-
rary audible signal reminds you that the
vehicle's lighting is on.
It goes off automatically after a period
that depends on the state of charge of
the battery (change to energy economy
mode). This indicator lamp comes on
in the instrument panel.

Daytime running lamps *
On vehicles fi tted with daytime running
lamps, the dipped beam headlamps
come on when the vehicle is started.
The instruments and controls (multi-
function screen, air conditioning control
panel, ...) are not lit, unless the auto-
matic lighting mode is activated or the
lighting is switched on manually.
