LX570_OM_OM60L21U_(U) CAUTIONYour vehicle has also been equipped with a TPMS (tire pressure warning system)
malfunction indicator to indicate when th e system is not operating properly. The
TPMS (tire pressure warning system) malf unction indicator is combined with the
low tire pressure telltale (tire pressure warning light). When the system detects a
malfunction, the telltale will flash for approximately one minute and then remain
continuously illuminated. This sequence will continue upon subsequent vehicle
start-ups as long as the malfunction exists . When the malfunction indicator is illumi-
nated, the system may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressure as intended.
TPMS (tire pressure warning system) malfunctions may occur for a variety of rea-
sons, including the installation of replacem ent or alternate tires or wheels on the
vehicle that prevent the TPMS (tire pressure warning system) from functioning
properly. Always check the TPMS (tire pressure warning system) malfunction tell-
tale after replacing one or more tires or wheels on your vehicle to ensure that the
replacement or alternate tires and wheels allow the TPMS (tire pressure warning
system) to continue to function properly.
NOTICE■
Precaution when insta lling a different tire
A tire of a different specification or make r may cause the tire pressure warning sys-
tem to not operate properly.

incorrectly performed operations, or shows messages that indicate a need
for maintenance.
If a warning is shown on the instrument cluster, stay calm and perform the
following actions:

If any of the warning lights comes on again after the following actions
have been performed, contact your Lexus dealer.

Press the “ON-OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.

control system (if equipped)
Press the “ON-OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate

After taking the specified steps to co rrect the suspected problem, check

more of the doors is not
fully closed
The system also indi-
cates which doors are
not fully closed.
If the vehicle reaches a
speed of 3 mph
(5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer
sounds to indicate that
the door(s) are not yet
fully closed. Make sure that all the
doors are closed.

roof is not fully closed
(with the “ENGINE
START STOP” switch off,
and the driver’s door
open) Close the moon roof.
Indicates that engine oil
level is low
A buzzer also sounds. Check the level of engine
oil, and add if necessary.
This message may
appear if the vehicle is
stopped on a slope.
Move the vehicle to a
level surface and check
to see if the message dis-
appears.
(Flashes) Indicates, if the vehicle
reaches a speed of 3 mph
(5 km/h), that the parking
brake is still engaged. Release the parking

Indicates that the auto-
matic transmission fluid
temperature is too high
A buzzer also sounds. Stop the vehicle in a safe
place, shift the shift lever
to P and wait until the light
goes off.
If the light goes off, you
may start the vehicle
again. If the light does
not go off, contact your
Lexus dealer.
Indicates that the washer
fluid level is low Add washer fluid.
Low tire inflation pres-
sure Check the tire inflation
pressure, and adjust to the
appropriate level.
