1. FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
zThe functions included in Lexus Enform with Safety Connect are classified into the fol-
lowing three types.
Type A: Function achieved by using a cellular phone
Type B: Function achieved by using an em bedded cellular device in the vehicle
(DCM: Data Communica tion Module) and the navigation system
Type C: Function achieved by using DCM
z Each function is available in the following areas:
• LEXUS App Suite is available in the 48 stat es, D.C. and Alaska of the United States.
• Destination Assist and eDestination are av ailable in the contiguous United States.
• Lexus Insider is available in the contiguous 48 states and Canada.
• Safety Connect includes four features. Automatic Collision Notification, Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Location
are available in the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, and in Canada, and
Enhanced Roadside Assistance is available in the United States (except Hawaii) and in
Canada.
Lexus Enform with Safety Connect is a feat ure that includes LEXUS App Suite, Desti-
nation Assist, eDestination, Lexus Insider, and Safety Connect.

The LEXUS App Suite service requires a compatible cellular phone with data connec-
tion.
LEXUS App Suite is a service that enables downloadable applications to be displayed
on and operated from the navigation scre en. Before LEXUS App Suite can be used, a

Navigation system
Content received, via a cellular ph one, from the content provid-

tion system is equipped with an application player to run

tions, it is necessary to run the LEXUS
Enform application, enter your user name
and password into your cellular phone.
●If an iPhone is connected via Bluetooth®
and USB at the same time, system opera-
tion may become unstable, and audio
stream may be lost.
●If a LEXUS App Suite application is used
while iPod audio/video is being played
back, system operation may become
unstable.

Of the functions included in Lexus Enform with Safety Connect, Destination Assist,
eDestination, and Lexus Insider are achie ved through the cooperation of the DCM
and navigation system.
These are subscription-based telematics se rvices that use Global Positioning System
(GPS) data, embedded cellular technology to provide safety and security as well as
convenience features to subscribers.
The services are supported by Lexus’ desi gnated response center, which operates 24
hours per day, 7 days per week.
The services are available by subscription on select, telematics hardware-equipped
vehicles.
