Bluetooth hands-free systemVehicle equipmentAll standard, country-specific and optional
equipment that is offered in the model series is
described in this chapter. Therefore, equipment
is also described that is not available in a vehi‐
cle, e. g., because of the selected optional
equipment or country variant. This also applies
for safety-related functions and systems.
The concept Mobile phones can be connected to the vehicle
via Bluetooth. After the mobile phones are
paired once, they are recognized automatically
when the ignition is switched on. As soon as
they are inside the vehicle they can be oper‐

steering wheel.
Hints Using the mobile phone while driving

conditions allow. Do not hold the mobile phone
in your hand while you are driving; use the
hands-free system instead. If you do not ob‐
serve this precaution, you can endanger the ve‐
hicle occupants and other road users. ◀
Certain functions may need to be enabled by
the mobile phone provider or service provider.
