The outer rear seat cushions and
seat-backs are equipped with seat
heaters.
The rear seat heater switches are
located under the rear vents. The
lef t (right) switch controls the seat
heaters on lef t (right) outer seating
position.The ignition switch must be in the
ON (II) position to use seat heaters.
Push the right side of the switch, HI,
to rapidly heat up the seat. Af ter the
seat reaches a comfortable
temperature, select LO by pushing
the lef t side of the switch. This will
keep the seat warm.In the HI setting, the heater turns off
when the seat gets warm, and turns
back on after the seat’s temperature
drops.
In the LO setting, the heater runs
continuously. It does not cycle with
temperature changes.
Follow these precautions whenever
you use the seat heaters:
Donotusetheseatheaterinthe
HI setting f or an extended period,
because it draws large amounts of
current from the battery.
If the engine is lef t idling f or an
extended period, do not use the
seat heaters even on the LO
setting. It can weaken the battery,
causing hard starting.

If the MAIN switch is pushed down
(OFF), the passenger windows
cannot be raised or lowered. Keep
the MAIN switch off when you have
children in the vehicle so they do not
injure themselves by operating the
windows unintentionally. Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position bef ore operating any of
the window switches. To open a
window, push the switch down and
hold it. To close the window, pull the
switchupandholdit.Releasethe

MAIN SWITCHClosing a power window on
someone’s hands or fingers can
cause serious injury.
Make sure your passengers are
away from the windows before
closing them. Heat induced burns are
possible when using seat
heaters.
Persons with a diminished
ability to sense temperature
(e.g., persons with diabetes,
lower-limb nerve damage, or
paralysis) or with sensitive skin
should not use seat heaters.

µThe power windows have a key-of f
delay. You can still open and close
the windows f or up to 10 minutes
after you turn off the ignition switch.
The key-of f delay cancels as soon as
you open either f ront door. You must
then turn the ignition switch to the
ON (II) position f or the power
windows to operate. If the window runs into any obstacle
while it is closing automatically, it
will reverse direction, and then stop.
To close the window, remove the
obstacle, then use the window switch
again.
Auto reverse stops sensing when the
window is almost closed. You should
always check that all passengers and
objects are away from the window
bef ore closing it.
The driver’s window auto
reverse f unction is disabled when
you continuously pull up the switch. To open the window f ully,
push the window switch firmly down
to the second detent, then release it.
The window automatically goes
down all the way. To stop the
window f rom going all the way down,
pull back on the window switch
brief ly.
To close the window f ully, pull back
the window switch firmly to the
second detent, then release it. The
window automatically goes all the
way up. To stop the window f rom
going all the way up, push down on
the window switch briefly.
To open or close the window
partially, push down or pull back on
the window switch lightly to the first
detent, and hold it. The window will
stop when you release the switch.
All window switches also have the
AUTO feature.

Turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position bef ore operating the
moonroof switch on the ceiling
console. To open the moonroof , pull
back the moonroof switch. To close
the moonroof , push the moonroof
switch f orward. Release the switch
to stop the moonroof . To close the windows and the
moonroof f urther, turn and hold
the key again (within 10 seconds
of step 2).
If the windows and the
moonroof stop bef ore the desired
position, repeat steps 2 and 3. Turn the built-in key clockwise
again, and hold it. All four
windows and the moonroof start to
open. To stop the windows and
moonroof , release the built-in key.
To open the windows and the
moonroof f urther, turn and hold
the key again (within 10 seconds
of step 2).
To close:
Insert the built-in key in the driver’s
door lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise,
then release it.
Turn the key counterclockwise
again, and hold it. All four
windows and the moonroof start to
close. To stop the windows and

If you drive without releasing the
parking brake, a beeper will sound,
and you will also see a ‘‘RELEASE
PARKING BRAKE’’ message on the
multi-inf ormation display (see page
).
To apply the parking brake, push the
parking brake pedal down with your
f oot. To release the parking brake,
push on the pedal again. The parking
brake indicator on the instrument
panel should go out when the
parking brake is f ully released with
the engine running (see page ). The moonroof has a key-of f delay.
You can still open and close the
moonroof f or up to 10 minutes af ter
you turn of f the ignition switch. The
key-of f delay cancels as soon as you
open either f ront door. You must
then turn the ignition switch to the
ON (II) position f or the moonroof to
operate.

PARKING BRAKE PEDAL
Driving the vehicle with the parking
brake applied can damage the rear
brakes, axles, and tires. A beeper will
sound if the vehicle is put into gear
with the parking brake on. If you try to open the moonroof in
below-f reezing temperatures, or when
it is covered with snow or ice, you can
damage the moonroof panel or its
motor.

When you shif t to reverse, the
sunshade goes down automatically.
To use it again, shif t to another
position, and push the button to raise
it.
If the sunshade stops while moving,
check for and clear any obstacles,
then push the button again.
With the ignition switch in the ON
(II) position, push the power rear
sunshade button on the ceiling
console to raise the rear sunshade.
Push the button again to lower it. The interior of each f ront door has
an extendable pocket f or maps and
other small, lightweight items. For
saf ety, be sure both f ront door
pockets are closed while driving.
When the light switch is in the
or position, the f ront door
pocket light is on.

Af ter pushing the DOOR button, all
the lights come on when you open
any door, unlock the doors with the
remote or built-in key, or turn the
ignition switch f rom the ON (II) or
the ACCESSORY (I) position to the
LOCK (0) position. The indicator in
the button comes on as a reminder.
The f ront and rear of the ceiling
have ceiling lights.

DIMMING TIME’’ setting, see page
. Push each ceiling light button to turn
its light on and of f .
Push the ON button to turn on all the

´µ The courtesy light in each door
comes on when the door is opened,
and goes out when the door is closed.
Your vehicle also has a courtesy light
in the ignition switch. This light
comesonwhenyouopenthedriver’s
door. It f ades out in about 30
seconds af ter the door is closed.
The courtesy lights between the sun
visors and on the rear ceiling light
panel come on when you turn the
parking lights on. To adjust its
brightness, press either of the
instrument panel brightness control
buttons ( or ) with the ignition
switch in the ON (II) position (see
