STATUS DEFINITIONRUNNING: This status indicates that the fan assembly is engaged.
STOPPED: This status indicates that the fan assembly is not engaged.
NOTESSpecial notes:
Only perform these tests if the statuses do not correspond with the system operation
programming.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on, or engine running, and engine coolant temperature
> 80°C
RUNNINGThe low-speed engine fan is supplied in three scenarios:
– the engine coolant temperature is greater than 89°C,
–the air conditioning is operating,
– the injection computer has system faults that could lead to the engine overheating.
When the low-speed fan assembly is supplied:
–status ET015 Fan assembly 2 check becomes RUNNING.
–status ET144 Low speed fan unit relay control becomes ACTIVE.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on
STOPPEDThe low-speed fan assembly stops when:
– the engine coolant temperature is less than 89°C,
– the air conditioning is not switched on by the driver.

STATUS DEFINITION+ AFTER IGNITION: This status indicates that the engine is in + after ignition.
RUNNING: This status indicates that the engine is running.
STOPPED: This status indicates that the engine is stopped.

Only perform these tests if the statuses do not correspond with the system
programming functions.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on
STOPPEDStatus ET038 is Stopped if the engine ignition is on without the starter engaged.
Conformity check with engine running, engine coolant temperature > 80°C
RUNNINGThis status indicates that the engine is running.
In the event of a fault, switch off the ignition and wait for the diagnostic tool message
(maximum time 8 minutes) Communication lost with computer: EDC16C36,
check the tool connection and computer power supply, before switching the
ignition back on.
If the fault is still present, contact the Techline.
Status ET038 may also be in the STARTING or STALLED phase
UNDER
STARTERStatus ET038 is Starting when the engine is in starting phase.
STALLEDStatus ET038 is Stalled if the engine has stalled. The vehicle is still under +after
ignition feed.

RELEASED: This status indicates that the brake pedal is in the released position.

STATUS DEFINITIONDEPRESSED: This status indicates that the clutch pedal is depressed.
RELEASED: This status indicates that the clutch pedal is released.
NOTESSpecial notes:

Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on, or engine running, and engine coolant temperature

DEPRESSEDStatus ET040 is DEPRESSED when there is no action on the clutch pedal.
In the event of a fault, see the interpretation of status ET405 Clutch pedal switch.
Non-conformity of the brake signals and or the clutch switch signals can cause the
engine to race during gear changes. In the event of a fault, contact the Techline.
RELEASEDWhen the vehicle ignition is switched on without depressing the clutch pedal, status
ET040 is RELEASED.
In the event of a fault, see the interpretation of status ET405 Clutch pedal switch.

STATUS DEFINITIONNOT DETECTED: This status indicates that the cruise control or speed limiter function
is not present on the vehicle.
INACTIVE: This status indicates that the main On/Off switch of the cruise control/speed
limiter is in the rest (or neutral) position.
LIMITER: This status indicates that the driver has used the main switch to select the
speed limiter.
CRUISE CONTROL: This status indicates that the driver has used the main switch to
select the cruise control.
NOTESSpecial notes:

STATUS DEFINITIONNO: This status indicates that the airbag computer has not detected an impact.
YES: This status indicates that the airbag computer has detected an impact.
NOTESSpecial notes:
Only perform these tests if the statuses do not correspond with the system
programming functions.
This signal is transmitted by the airbag computer via the multiplex network.
Conformity check with engine stopped and ignition on, or engine running, and engine coolant temperature
> 80°C
NOThe status is usually NO as no impact has been detected.
Otherwise, check the airbag computer (see 88C, Airbags and pretensioners).
YESIf the vehicle has had an accident, the injection computer receives the impact signal
via the multiplex network and may switch off the ignition. Status ET077 is YES.
Switch off the ignition for 10 seconds, then switch it back on, so the engine can be
restarted.
Clear the faults (even if no fault is present or stored).
Otherwise, check the airbag computer (see 88C, Airbags and pretensioners).
