When your selection is successf ully
completed, the display changes as
shown above, and then goes back to
the customize item screen.If the ‘‘SETTING INCOMPLETE’’
message appears, go back to
‘‘SECURITY RELOCK TIMER’’ and
repeat the procedure again. To exit this mode without changing
the settings, select ‘‘EXIT’’ by
pressing the INFO button, then
press the SEL/RESET button. The
display goes back to the customize
item screen.

Push the lever under the steering
column all the way down.Push the lever up to lock the
steering wheel in position.
Make sure you have securely
locked the steering wheel in place
by trying to move it up, down, in,
and out.
Make any steering wheel
adjustments bef ore you start driving.
Move the steering wheel up or
down, and in or out, so it points
toward your chest, not toward
your f ace. Make sure you can see
the instrument panel gauges and

To change the ‘‘SECURITY
RELOCK TIMER’’ setting, see page .Press this button once
to unlock the driver’s door. Press it
twice to unlock the other doors and
the tailgate. Some exterior lights will
f lash twice each time you press the
button.
If you do not open any doors or the
tailgate within 30 seconds, they will
automatically relock and the security
system sets.
To change the ‘‘KEY AND REMOTE
UNLOCK MODE’’ setting, see page .
Press this button once to
lock all doors and the tailgate. Some
exterior lights will f lash once. When
you push LOCK twice within 5
seconds, you will hear a beep to
verify that the security system has
set. You cannot lock the doors and
thetailgateif anydoororthetailgate
is not f ully closed or the key is in the
ignition switch. To change the ‘‘KEYLESS LOCK
ACKNOWLEDGMENT’’ setting, see
page .
When you press the UNLOCK
button, the f ront and rear individual
map lights and the cargo area light,
depending on their switch positions,
will come on (see page ). If you
do not open any door or the tailgate,
the lights stay on for about 30
seconds, then go out. If you relock
thedoorsandthetailgatewiththe
remote transmitter before 30
seconds have elapsed, the lights will
go of f immediately.
Pressthisbuttonfor
about 1 second to attract attention;
thehornwillsoundandtheexterior
lights will f lash f or about 30 seconds.
To cancel panic mode, press any
other button on the remote
transmitter, or turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position.

To open, pull the inside or outside
door handle, and slide the door back.
It will latch in the f ully open position.
When opening f rom the inside, the
childproof door lock must be
unlocked.
To close, pull either handle, and slide
the door closed. Make sure the door
is closed and latched securely bef ore
driving, and all passengers are clear
of the sliding doors bef ore closing
them.
Push the release lever to the right as
shown. The doors are electrically powered
and can be operated with the remote
transmitter, the door handles, the
dashboard switches or both door
pillar switches. To operate the doors:
When opening a sliding door, it stops
about halfway if the window is open
more than about 3 in (8 cm). If the
vehicle is f acing downhill, the sliding
door will slam shut when you release
the door handle. Always close the
window f ully bef ore opening the
sliding door. The ignition switch must be in the
ON (II) position with the brake
pedal pressed or the parking brake
applied when you operate the
doors with the shif t lever in any
position other than Park.
The power sliding door MAIN
switch must be in the ON position.
To open the door with the inside
handle or the door pillar switch,
the childproof door lock on the
door must be unlocked (see page
).

To remove a head restraint f or
cleaning or repair, pull it up as f ar as
it will go. Push the release button,
then pull the restraint out of the seat-
back.Make sure the removed head
restraints are securely stored.
When reinstalling a head restraint,
put the legs back in place. Then
adjust it to the appropriate height
while pressing the release button.
The seat-back must be f olded
f orward (see page ) to get ceiling
clearance f or removal of the head

This reduces the distance between
the restraint and the occupant’s head.
It also helps protect the occupants
against the likelihood of whiplash
and injuries to the neck and upper
spine.
Af ter a collision, the activated
restraint should return to its normal
position.
If the restraints do not return to their
normal position, or in the event of a
severe collision, have the vehicle
inspected by a Honda dealer.
The driver’s and f ront passenger’s
seats have active head restraints. If
the vehicle is struck severely f rom
the rear, the occupant properly
secured with the seat belt will be
pushed against the seat-back and the
head restraint will automatically
move forward.
Make sure the head restraint locks
in position when you reinstall it.

Both seats can be removed to give
more cargo capacity.
Do not remove the seats while
driving.
To remove a seat:Lower the head restraint to its
lowest position.
Pull up the seat-back angle
adjustment lever, and fold the
seat-back forward. Unlock the seat f rom the f loor by
pulling the lock release lever on
the outside of the seat bottom, and
lifttherearoftheseatbyholding
the handle under the back of the
seat cushion.Unhook the f ront of the seat f rom
the f loor by pulling it back slightly,
then pivoting it upward.
To reinstall the seat, hook the front
of the seat to the f loor, then push the
rear of the seat-back until it locks in
place. Make sure the seat is securely
latched bef ore driving.
Move the second row seat to the
rear-most position.

The second row outer seats can be
moved to the center to provide an
easier access to the third row seat.
Or you can move them to the outer
position if you intend to install two or
three child seats in the second row
seats.
To move a seat:Followsteps1and2onthe
previous section. With the f ront of the seat hooked
onto the f loor, slide the seat
laterally to the center or outer
position. Make sure to move it
until it stops.
Lower the seat and push the rear
of the seat-back until it locks in
place. Make sure the seat is
securely latched bef ore driving.Your vehicle has a multi-f unctional
center seat f or the second row
center position.
You can remove the multi-functional
center seat when it is not used. Do
not remove the seat while driving.
To remove a seat:
Use the latch plate to release the
center seat belt f rom the
detachable anchor (see page ).
Allow the seat belt to retract into
the holder on the ceiling and store
the buckles in it.
Pull up the adjustment strap, and
fold the seat-back forward.
