Wiper controls


Programming

Various automatic wiper control modes are also
available according to the following options:


- automatic rain sensitive windscreen wipers,

- rear w
iping on engaging reverse gear.

Manual controls
The wipers are controlled directly by the driver. The vehicle's
front and rear wipers are
designed to improve the driver's visibility
progressively according to the climaticconditions.

Windscreen wipers

Wiping speed:
fast
(heavy rain),
normal
(moderate rain),
intermittent
(proportional to the
speed of the vehicle),
park,
automatic
(press down and
release),
single wipe
(pull the stalk briefly towards you).

If a significant accumulation of snowor ice is present, or when using a bicycle carrier on the boot, deactivatethe automatic rear wiper via theconfiguration menu.

Reverse gear

When reverse gear is engaged, the rear wiper
will come into operation if the windscreen
wipers are operating.
Th

deactivated via the configuration menu.
This function is activated by default.
Programming
)Pull the windscreen wiper stalk towards you. The windscreen wash then the
windscreen wipers operate for a fixed
period.

The headlamp washers only operate when the dipped beam headlamps are on.

Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically,
without any action on the par t of the driver, if
rain is detected (sensor behind the rear view mirror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
the rainfall.

Switching on

Briefly push the control stalkdownwards.
This warning lamp comes on in the
instrument panel and a messa
ge is
displayed. Brie
fly push the control stalkdownwards again, or place the control stalk in another position
(Int, 1 or 2).
This warning lamp goes off in the instrumentpanel and a message is displayed.
Switching off


The automatic rain sensitive windscreenwipers must be reactivated by pushing the control stalk downwards, if theignition has been off for more than oneminute.

Do not cover the rain sensor, linked with the sunshine sensor and located in the centre of the windscreen behind the rear view mirror. Switch off the automatic rain sensitivewipers when using an automatic car wash. In winter, it is advisable to wait until the windscreen is completely clear of ice before activating the automatic rain sensitive wipers.

Operating fault
If a fault occurs with the automatic rain
sensitive wipers, the wipers will operate in intermittent mode.
Have it checked by CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Special position of the
windscreen wipers
This position permits release of the windscreen
wiper blades.
It is used for cleaning or replacement of the blades. It can also be useful, in winter, todetach the blades from the windscreen.


To maintain the effectiveness of the "flat-blade" type of wiper blades, it is advisable to:


- handle them with care,

- clean them regularly using soapywater,

- avoid using them to retain cardboard on the windscreen,

- replace them at the first signs of wear.

Any action on the wiper stalk immediately
after switching off the ignition places the
blades vertically on the screen.) To park the blades again, switch on theignition and operate the wiper stalk.

Courtesy lamps

In this position, the courtesy lamp comes on gradually:

Take care to avoid leaving anything in contact with the cour tesy lamps.
With the "permanent lighting" mode, the lighting time varies according to thecircumstances: - with the ignition off, approximatelyten minutes,- in energy economy mode, approximately thirty seconds,- with the engine running, unlimited.
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the electronic ke
y is removed from
the reader,
- when opening a door,
- when the remote control locking button is
activated, in order to locate your vehicle.

- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.

Interior mood lighting The dimmed passenger compar tment lighting improves visibility in the vehicle when the light is poor.
Switching on
At night, the interior mood lighting comes onautomatically when the sidelamps are switched
on ( for example, a source of light in the roof console illuminates the middle of the centre console).

With the lighting on, press several times on
the button to adjust the lighting level.
Switching off
The interior mood lighting switches off automatically when the sidelamps are switched off. )With the vehicle lighting on, press the
button several times to progressively
reduce brightness until the interior mood lighting goes off.





Foot well lighting


Activation

Its operation is identical to that of the cour tesy
lamps. The lighting comes on when one of the
doors is opened. The so
ft lighting provided by the footwell lamps
improves visibility in the vehicle when the light
is poor.
