Practical information

Spare fuses

The spare fuses are located under the enginecompartment fusebox cover.
The cover does not contain sparefuses with an amperage of 7.5 A, 25 A or 30 A. If one of the fuses with theseamperages develops a fault, replace itwith the following fuse:
A 7.5 A fusemust be replaced with the10 A spare fuse, a 25 A fusewith a 20 A spare fuseand a 30 A fuse
with the audio system fuse (N° 31).

12 V battery
The battery is located under the bonnet.
To gain access to it:)open the bonnet using the interior release lever, then the exterior safety catch,
)secure the bonnet stay,
Access to the battery
Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for star ting the engine using another battery and jump leads.
) remove the retaining pins A , )
remove the protective cover B,)remove the retaining pins C , )remove the air duct D.

Starting using another
battery
)
Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal (+) of the flat battery A
, then to the
positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.
) Connect one end of the green or blackcable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B.)
Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the ear th point C
on your vehicle(engine mounting). )
Operate the starter, let the engine run.)
Wait until the engine returns to idle anddisconnect the cables.

)Raise the protective cover on the (+)terminal.

Practical information

The batteries contain harmful substances such as sulphuric acid and lead. They must be disposed of inaccordance with regulations and must not, in any circumstances, be discarded with household waste. Ta k e used remote control batteries andvehicle batteries to a special collectionpoint.
Do not reverse the polarity and use only a 12 V charger. Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running. Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals first.Do not push the vehicle to star t the engine if it is fitted with a CVT gearbox.

It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is to be left unused for more than one month.
Before disconnectingthe battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off theignition before disconnecting the battery. Close the windows and the doors before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition and wait 1 minutebefore starting to permit initialisation of theelectronic systems. However, if problemsremain following this operation, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

)Disconnect the battery from the vehicle, if necessary. )Follow the instructions for use provided by
the manufacturer of the charger.
)Reconnect starting with the negative
terminal (-). )Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove themand clean them.

Removing a front or rear
wiper blade
) Raise the corresponding wiper arm.)
Remove the wiper blade, sliding it towards
the outside.










Changing a wiper

Fitting a front or rear wiper
blade
) At the front, check the size of the wiper blade as the shorter blade is fitted on the
right-hand side of the vehicle.) Put the corresponding new wiper blade in
place and fix it. )
Fold down the wiper arm carefully.


Automatic power cut-off to accessories

After the engine has stopped, when the ignition switch is in the "ACC" position(or the vehicle in "ACC" mode)
you can still use functions such as the audio equipment, windscreen wipers, dipped beamheadlamps, cour tesy lamps, etc. for about
t
hirty minutes.
Cutting off
Once the thir ty minutes have expired, thepower supply to the accessories will be automatically cut off.
Restoring power
The power supply will be restored the next time
the ignition is switched on.

The period before cut-off can beextended up to about sixty minutes or deactivated, via the colour screen"Equipment" menu.

Recovering the vehicle



General
recommendations

Obser ve the legislation in force in your country.
Ensure that the weight of the towing vehicle is higher than that of the towed vehicle.
The person at the wheel of the towed vehicle must have a valid drivinglicence.
When towing a vehicle with all four wheels on the ground, always use anapproved towing bar; rope and strapsare prohibited.
When towing a vehicle with the engine off, there is no longer any power assistance for braking or steering.
In the following cases, you must always call on a professional recovery service:


- vehicle broken down on a motor way or fast road,

- 4 wheel drive vehicle,

- when it is not possible to put thegearbox into neutral, unlock the steering, or release the parking brake,

- towing with only two wheels on the ground,

- where there is no approved towing bar available...
Towing with the wheels on the groundis only possible on 2 wheel drive (2WD) versions.


Recovery of your vehicle


2 wheel drive (2WD) versions: towingwith the wheels on the ground
)Put the gear lever into neutral (position Nfor the CVT gearbox).)Unlock the steering by by turning the
ignition switch to the " ON
" position (or

o " ON " mode for vehicle fitted with the
"Keyless Entry and Star ting" system). )Release the parking brake. )Switch on the hazard warning lamps on both vehicles.)Move off gently and travel slowly for a shor t
distance only.
) Fit the towing bar to the towing eye on thechassis, located under the front bumper.

Vehicles fitted with the 4 wheel drive
system must always be recovered on aflatbed.
Never have the vehicle towed with thefour wheels on the ground, this could damage the transmission.The vehicle must not be towed with thefront or rear wheels on the ground even if it is in front "2WD" (2 wheel drive) mode.
