Trafic II ph2 or Kangoo 2.
Is it possible to establish dialogue with the
computer?
YES
Check the conformity of status ET002 Radio on/off
button (see Conformity check).
Is status ET002 correct?
NO
Check that the LPN* radionavigation on/off button is
operating correctly (see 86A, Radio).
Is the button operating correctly?
YES
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence
of interference resistance on connection 34HY
between components 1714 and 261.
Is the connection OK?
YES
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence
of interference resistance of connection 34HU
between components 1714, 261 and 1127.
Is the connection OK?
YES

Check that the computer is correctly configured
(see Configuration and programming).
Has the fault disappeared?
NO
When the ignition is switched on, is the + accessories
feed present on connection 34HU of the 8-track
connector of component 261?
YES
Check for + 12 V on connection 34HU and earth on
connection MAN (Trafic II ph2, Kangoo 2, Scénic II
ph2) or NC (Espace IV ph2) on the connector for
component 1127.
Are these tests correct?
YES
Cut the + accessories feed (for at least 1 minute)
then reactivate it.
Is the fault still present?
YES
Contact Techline.YES
End of fault finding.
NOIf the connection is faulty and there is a
repair procedure (see Technical
Note 6015A, Electrical wiring repair,
Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the
wiring, otherwise replace it.

ALP 5 Exterior temperature display fault
NOTESSwitch on the + after ignition feed to enter fault finding mode with the computer.
Use the W iring Diagrams Technical Note, Trafic II ph2.
Carry out a fault finding procedure on the computer sending the exterior temperature signal:
–Scénic II ph2, Kangoo 2, see 87B, Passenger compartment connection unit.
–Espace IV ph2, see 83A, Instrument panel.
For Trafic II ph2, check the condition and connection of the connector of component 1714 and the connector of
component 240.
If the connector(s) is faulty and if there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Repairing electrical
wiring, W iring: Precautions for repair), repair the connector, otherwise replace the wiring.
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence of interference resistance of the following connections:
–connection code 47C,
–connection code 47D,
between components 1714 and 240.
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical
wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
If the temperature measured by the sensor does not correspond to the external temperature, measure the sensor
resistance between connections 47C and 47D.
The resistance should be approximately 3000 Ω ± 300 Ω at 20˚C.
Replace the sensor if it is not correct (see MR 408, TRAFIC, Mechanical, 84A, Control - Signals, Temperature
sensor: Removal - Refitting).
If the fault is still present, contact the techline.

Is the air conditioning control backlighting
correct?
YES
With the lights on, check status ET007 Brightness.
Is status ET007 "Night"?
YES
Check the insulation, continuity and the absence
of interference resistance on the following
connections:
–connection code 107X ,
–connection code 107W ,
between components 1714 and 261.
Are the connections correct?
NO
If the connection or connections are faulty and there is a repair procedure (see Technical Note 6015A, Electrical
wiring repair, Wiring: Precautions for repair), repair the wiring, otherwise replace it.
NOCarry out fault finding on the UCH (see 87B,
Passenger compartment connection
unit).
NO
Check the voltage on connection BPT
(Scénic II ph2, Kangoo 2, Trafic II ph2),
13W (Espace IV ph2) of component 1714.
Is the voltage correct?
YESNO
YES
