7.LeverjointrodE(whitefastening)offtheballheadwithbladeofleverB.Acorrespondingamountofforceisrequiredtoleverofftheballhead,creatingdangerofcrushingandpinching.
8.WhenleveringoffjointrodEontheothersideofthevehicle,theconvertibletopmustbeheldsothatitdoesnotfalldowninanuncontrolledmannertoprotectagainstinjuryfromafallencover.
9.Liftconvertibletopwithbothhands(arrow)andclose.
10.Lockconvertibletop.
11.Carefullylowerconvertible-topcompartmentcover.

Whentheconvertibletopisclosed,itisagoodideatoremovethecentersectionofthewindstoptopermitgoodventilationoftheinteriororfordemistingtherearwindow.Thisisparticularlythecaseincold,wetweather.

Presswindstoppartstotherearandupoutoftheroll-overbarandtakeitout.
Installingouterwindstopparts
Firstinsertthewindstoppartsintheroll-overbarfromtherear,thenpushitupintothebar.
MakesurethatthethreeplastictonguesAfullyengageintheroll-overbar.
Removingcentralsectionofwindstop

PressreleasebuttonsBandtakeoutthewindstoptowardtherear.
Installingcentersectionofwindstop
FirstinsertthewindstopinreceiverCfromtherear,then,oneaftertheother,pressforwarduntilbothuppermountsBengageaudibly.

Theinsertsforlockingofthepivotlocksarenotinstalledonvehiclesdeliveredwithoutahardtop.ItisessentialtohavethenecessarypartsretrofittedbyanauthorizedPorschedealerbeforeahardtopisfittedforthefirsttime.
Fittingthehardtop
1.Opendoorsandconvertibletop.
2.Carefullyremovebothplasticcovers(arrow)outofthepivotlocks,usingascrewdriver.Storeplasticcovers.
Note
Theseplasticcoversareincludedwithvehiclesthatarefactory-equippedwithahardtop.
3.PulloffcoverAontheroll-overbar.

4.Removetheconnectoroftheconvertibletopheatedrearwindowandinsertintotherearemptysocket.
5.Removecoverfromfrontlockinglever(arrow).6.Pressredlockingbuttonofthefrontlockinglever(arrowA).Openlatchcompletely(arrowB).

7.Putbothpivotlocksintheopeningpositiononthehardtop.Thehandlesmustpointinwards.8.Withonepersononeachside,grasphardtopandcarefullyliftoverthecar.
9.Inserthardtopfrontintothesocketsonthewindshieldframe.

Evenlylowerthehardtopatbothsides.
10.Lowerhardtopatrear.Thepivotlocksmustbecompletelysunkenintothelocks(arrowA).Ifnecessary,movelatchingleverslightly.
11.Swingbothlatchingleverstotherearuntiltheycanbefelttoengage(arrowB).

12.Swinglockingleveroffrontlatchtotherear(arrowA).Thelockinghookmustengageinthewindshieldframe(arrowB).Whenthehardtopiscorrectlylatched,thewhitemarkingstripeontheredlockingbutton(arrowC)mustbevisible.

4.Openfrontlatch.
5.Openrearpivotlocks(swivelinwards).Unplugplugofthehardtopheatedrearwindow.
6.Withonepersononeachside,graspthehardtop.Lifthardtopatrearandpulloutofthesocketsonthewindshieldframeatfront.

Evenlyliftthehardtopatbothsides.
7.Carefullyliftthehardtopupandoffthevehicletotherear.
8.Closefronthardtoplatch.Fitcoveronthefrontlatch.
9.Closepivotlocksonthevehiclewiththeplasticcovers.
10.Removetheconnectoroftheconvertibletopheatedrearwindowfromtheemptysocketandinsertintothesocket.
