Range This shows the distance that can still be covered with the fuel remaining inthe tank. Note: this figure may rise if there is a
change in driving style or road sur- face, causing a significant drop incurrent fuel consumption. Average consumption This is the average fuel consumption since the computer was last set tozero.Distance travelled This indicates the distance travelled since the computer was last set tozero.
YOUR 607 IN DETAIL
Current consumption This is the average fuel consumption during the last few seconds. This function is displayed only when the vehicle is travelling at a speedgreater than 20 mph (30 km/h).
Average speed This is the average speed calculated since the computer was last set tozero (with the ignition on).
The routes Routes 1 and 2 are independent but have identical application. Route 1, for example, allows you to make daily calculations, and route2 monthly calculations. On this page, the illustration on the left represents the mono-
chrome screen C display, the oneon the right the colour screen
display.
After re-setting the trip computer to zero, the range data become signifi-cant only after a few seconds of use. If horizontal segments are displayed for long periods instead of digits,
contact a PEUGEOT dealer.

CHECK... Battery
At the start of winter, have your battery checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer. Air filter and pollen filter Have the filter elements replaced
regularly.
If you drive in dusty
conditions, change them twice asoften. Particulate emission filter - Additive reservoir (Dieselmodels) It is essential the particulate emis- sion filter be maintained and theadditive reservoir be filled by a
PEUGEOT dealer, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Brake pads Brake pad wear depends on the style of driving, in particular forvehicles which are used in town, over short distances. It may benecessary to check the thickness ofthe pads, even between services. Handbrake Where the handbrake travel is too great or there is a reduction in theperformance of the system, thehandbrake should be adjusted, evenbetween services. Have the system checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer. Manual gearbox This does not need an oil change. Have the level checked, according tothe manufacturer's servicing schedule. Automatic gearbox This does not need an oil change. Have the level checked by a
PEUGEOT dealer, according to themanufacturer's servicing schedule. Oil filter
Change the filter regularly, in accor- dance with the servicing schedule.
Fuel supply cut-off In a serious collision, a mechanism prevents fuel from reaching theengine.
To re-establish the fuel supply:
press the red button on the angle of the front right-hand suspension
assembly, under the bonnet.
Only use products
recommended by Auto-
mobiles PEUGEOT.
To ensure best perfor- mance from components
as important as the power stee-ring and the braking system, PEUGEOT selects and offersquite specific products.
To prevent damage to the electrical units, avoid washing the engine.
