THE REMOTE CONTROL KEY
From the driver's door, the key allows you to lock or unlock thedoors, the boot and the fuel fillerflap, as well as to fold back oropen out the exterior mirrors. The remote control in the key performs the same function at adistance. Locking with the remote control

This is confirmed by rapid flashingof the direction indicators. With the vehicle unlocked, theboot is opened using the electricpush button located on the rightrear side, in the 'zero' of the 607badge. Opening the boot with the remote control key

upon opening the driver's door. Locating the vehicle
To locate your vehicle in a car park, press button A; the cour-
tesy lights come on and the direc-tion indicators flash forapproximately twenty seconds. Driving position memorised by the remote control key When locking the doors, the remote control key memorisesthe position of the driver's seatand the driving mirrors. Each
remote control key memorises aspecific setting. When unlocking the doors, the driver's seat and the exteriormirrors assume the positionmemorised by the remote control
key, if this position has beenchanged in the meantime. Note:
do not press the buttons of
your remote control key out ofrange of your vehicle as there is arisk that you could render it inope-rative. It would then be necessaryto reprogramme it. Deadlocking This renders the internal and external door locking controlsinoperative and permits the auto-matic closing of the windows andthe sunroof. With the key:
 lock the vehicle and keep the key in the locked position forapproximately one second.
With the remote control:
 press button Ato lock the
vehicle (the direction indicatorlights remain on for approxi-mately two seconds),
 within five seconds, pressbutton Aagain to deadlock
the vehicle (the direction indi-cator lights remain on forapproximately two seconds).

Manual operation With the headlamps on, press button B to increase the brightness of the
instrument panel lighting or button A
to reduce it. As soon as the lighting reaches the required level of brightness, releasethe button. Illuminationbuttons
Automatic operation The degree of illumination of the instrument panel automaticallyadapts to the external brightness. By day , the setting cannot be
altered.At night, the brightness can be
increased by means of button B.
A PEUGEOT dealer is able to cancel automatic operation if you prefermanual operation.
Service indicator zero re-set
Your PEUGEOT dealer carries out this operation after each service.
However, if you carry out the service yourself, the re-set procedure is asfollows:  Switch off the ignition,
 Press and hold the trip recorderre-set button,
 Switch on the ignition.
The display begins a countdown. When the display shows 0, release the button; the service symbol disap-pears. Important: after this operation, if you
wish to disconnect the battery, lock the vehicle and wait for at least fiveminutes, otherwise the zero re-setwill not be registered.

Adjusting the left/right sound distribution (Balance) When 'BAL' is displayed, press button F or Hto vary the setting.
Button F increases the volume on the right-hand side.

Automatic volume correction "CAV" This function allows the volume to be adjusted automatically depending on the level of noise produced by the speed of the vehicle. Press buttons For Hto switch the function on or off.
Note: this function is only operational from 35 mph (60 km/h).

Your radio is subject to phenomena which do not affect domestic radio sets. Both MW/LW and FM reception are subject to
various forms of interference. This is no reflection on the quality of the equipment, but is due to the nature of the signals and
the way in which they are transmitted.
On MW/LW, interference may be noticed when passing under high voltage power lines or bridges, or in tunnels.
On FM, interference may be the result of increasing distance from the transmitter, deflection of the signals by obstacles
(mountains, hills, buildings, etc.) or of being in an area which is not covered by a transmitter.

If the TA traffic programme is selected, only stations broadcasting this type of programme are selected. Searching for a station occurs first in 'LO'sensitivity (selection of the most powerful transmitters) during scanning of the
waveband, then in 'DX' sensitivity (selection of the weakest and most distant transmitters).
To make a direct search in 'DX'sensitivity, briefly press button M or Ltwice.
Manual station search Press the 'MAN' button.
Briefly press button Mor Lto increase or decrease the frequency displayed.
By continuing to press the button in the direction selected, you will obtain continuous scrolling of the
frequency.
The searching stops at the first station found as soon as the button is released. Pressing the 'MAN'button again returns you to automatic station search.
Manual storing of stations in the memorySelect the station required.Press one of the buttons '1'to'6' for more than two seconds.
The sound stops, then becomes audible again, confirming that the station has been stored in the memory.

Automatic storing of FM stations in the memory (autostore) Press button Bfor more than two seconds, to automatically store the 6 stations with the strongest signal in
FM. These stations are stored in the FMast waveband.
If it is not possible to find 6 stations, the remaining memories are empty.
Recalling stations stored in the memoryFor each waveband, briefly press buttons '1' to '6'to recall the corresponding station.
The list of the 6 stations stored on the waveband is displayed each time one of the buttons '1'to'6' is pressed.
RDS SYSTEM Using the RDS (Radio Data System) function on FM Radio Data System allows you to continue listening to the same station, whatever frequency it is using for the region you are going through. RM2 audio:Press the 'RDS' button to switch the function on or off .
RT2 audio: Press the 'j

The display will show: - 'RDS' if the function is selected.
- '(RDS)' or 'RDS' if the function is selected but not available.
RDS station following
The display indicates the name of the station selected. The radio is continually searching for the station which has the best reception and which is transmitting the same programme.
