Conditions for diagnostic appl ication for memorized failure:
Se t the contact on or launch commend “AC016: Canister Purging Valve”
In ca se of failures additi on, treat as most important failure “DF009 actuators
relay control circuit ”.
* If the failure is memorized with OBD indicator on, check in the context part,
if state “ET117 : Canister purging control” corresponding to the OBD i ndicator
lighting request is affirma tive. In this case, proceed as per bellow mentioned
met hod.
C heck the connection and the connector state of the can ister purging valve .
C hange the connector if necessary.
C heck the resistance of the canister purging valve.
Repl ace the canister purging valve if is necessary.
C heck with the contact on, the presence of +12 Volts at pin 1 of the purging valve .
Fi x if necessary.
C onnect the 90 ways terminal box instead of the injection computer the n check the in s u la t ion and
the continuity of the l ine:
Pin 4 injection computer > pin 2 canister purging valve
Fix if necessary
Repl ace the canister purging valve if necessary.
If the problem is persisting after these checking, fix the other failures then perform the conformity
checking.

RE CO MM ENDATIONS
In order to perform this diagnostic, the pressure sensor must be not in
failure.
Conditions for diagnostic appl ication for memorized failure :
Se t the contact off and wait until the communication computer-CLIP tester
is lost.
Set the contact on, enter in dialog with the computer and eras e the memorized
failures. Act upon the starter for 10 seconds or make the engine idle running.
* If the failure is memor ized with OBD indicator on, check in the conte xt
part, if sta te “ET276 : Engine flywheel tooting dama ge” corresponding to
t he OBD indicator lighting request is affirma tive. In this case, proceed as
per bellow mentioned method.

C heck the connection and the condition of the RPM sensor connector
R eplace the connector if necessary.
C heck the cleaning state and the correct attachment of the RPM sensor
Fi x if necessary.
C heck the resistance of the RPM sensor.
R eplace the RPM sensor if necessary.
C onnect the 90 ways terminal box instead of the injection computer then c heck the insulation,
continuity and absence of the parasite resistance on lines: Pin 54 injection computer > p in A RPM sensor
Pin 24 injection computer > pi n B RPM sensor
Fi x if necessary.
If 1. DEF is occurring, check the engine flywheel condition.
If the problem is persisting after these checking, fix the other failures then perform the conformity
checking.

consideration”, is ACTIVE. Contrary, it is necessary, the re-act ivation of “learning”

- Start the engine and ensure that state “ AC261: Upstream O2 sensor
heating” is ACTIVE.
- Or act upon the actua tor control “ AC261: upstream 02 sensor heating ”.
In case of failures addition, treat as most important failure “DF009 actuators
relay control circuit” .
* If the failure is memorized with OBD indicator on, check in the context part,
if state “ET117 : Cani ster purging control” corresponding to the OBD i nd icator

Fi x if necessary.
If the problem is persisting after these checking, fix the other failures then perform the conformity
checking.

* If the failure is memorized with OBD indicator on, check in the context part,
if state “ET288 : Downstream oxygen se nsor heating circuit” corresponding
to the OBD indicator lighting request is affirmative. In this case, proceed as
per bellow mentioned method.
