Main switch
Functions of the respective switch positions are as
follows:
ON:
The engine can be started only at this position and
the headlights and taillight come on when the light
switch is on.
OFF:
All electrical circuits are switched off. The key can
be removed in this position.

Contacteur à clé

ON (marche):
Placer le contacteur sur cette position pour mettre le mo-
teur en marche. Les phares et le feu arrière s’allument
quand le contacteur d’éclairage est activé.
OFF (arrêt):
Tous les circuits électriques sont coupés. La clé peut être
retirée.

Interruptor principal
Las funciones correspondientes a cada una de las
posiciones del interruptor son las siguientes:
ON:
El motor sólo se puede poner en marcha con el inte-
rruptor en esta posición; si está conectado el inte-
rruptor de cambio de luces se encienden el faro y las
luces traseras.
OFF:
Se desconectan todos los circuitos eléctricos. En
esta posición puede extraerse la llave de contacto.

Set the switch to the “LO” position to turn on the
low beam and the taillight.
Set the switch to the “HI” position to turn on the
high beam and the taillight.
Set the switch to the “OFF” position to turn off all of
the lights.CAUTION:_ Do not use the headlights with the engine
turned off for more than thirty minutes. The
battery may discharge to the point that the
starter motor will not operate properly. If this
should happen, remove the battery and re-
charge it. _

Placer le contacteur à la position “LO” pour allumer les
feux de croisement et le feu arrière.
Placer le contacteur à la position “HI” pour allumer les
feux de route et le feu arrière.
Placer le contacteur sur “OFF” pour éteindre tous les
feux.ATTENTION:_ Ne jamais laisser les phares allumés pendant plus
d’une demi-heure après avoir coupé le moteur. La
batterie risque de se décharger au point d’empêcher
la mise en marche du moteur. Si cela devait se produi-
re, déposer et recharger la batterie. _

der la luz de cruce y la luz de cola.
Ponga el interruptor en la posición “HI” para encen-
der la luz de carretera y la luz de cola.
Ponta el interruptor en la posición “OFF” para apagar
todas las luces.AT E N C I O N :_ No mantenga las luces del faro encendidas du-
rante más de treinta minutos con el motor para-
do. La batería podría descargarse hasta el extre-
mo de que el motor de arranque no funcione
debidamente. Si sucediese esto, desmonte la ba-
tería y recárguela. _

Engine stop switch “ENG. STOP”
Make sure that the engine stop switch is in the
“RUN” position before starting the engine. The en-
gine stop switch controls ignition and can be used
at all times to stop the engine, especially in an
emergency. The engine will not start or run when
the engine stop switch is turned to “OFF”.

The starter motor cranks the engine when this
switch is pushed.CAUTION:
See the starting instructions on page 6-3 prior
to starting the engine.
