2003 LEXUS LS430 remote control

1.REMOVE HOOD INSULATOR
a. Using a clip remover, disengage the 10 clips and remove the insulator.
2.REMOVE HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
a. Using a clip remover, disengage the 13 clips and remove the seal.
3.REMOVE AUXILIARY CATCH RELEASE LEVER ASSY
a. Disconnect the snap and remote control rod No. 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow marks in
the illustration.
HINT:
If snap are damaged during removal, replace them.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and lever.

4.REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
a. Remove the 6 bolts and inside radiator
grille together with the outside radiator grille and radiator

20.REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSY LH
a. Disconnect the door lock connector.
b. w/o Door closer:
Using a T30 Torx° wrench, remove the 3 screws and door lock.
c. w/ Door closer:
Using a T30 Torx° wrench, remove the 5 screws and door lock.
HINT:
Remove the door lock through the service hole.
d. Remove the door remote control cable and door inside lockin
g cable.

21.REMOVE FRONT DOOR HANDLE ASSY OUTSIDE LH
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in the
illustration.
c. Remove the outside handle pad front and rear.

1.DESCRIPTION
The wireless door lock remote control system and smart key system have the memory call function.
The memory call function utilizes the transmitter key ID to recall recorded seat position, outer mirror
position, tilt and telescopic position, and seat belt anchor position preferences.
The driver seat ECU records all the positions. When each ECU detects an operation (see the charts
below), the driver seat ECU outputs a signal to restore all the positions.
2.CHECK IF MEMORY CALL FUNCTION OF WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM
AND SMART KEY SYSTEM ARE CANCELLED
a. After a door is unlocked by the transmitter, perform an "operation" from the chart below. Check
that the "position" to the right of each operation can function and is not limited in any way. Check
