WARNING:
●Situate vehicle on a flat and solid surface.
●Place chocks at front and back of rear wheels.
●For engines not equipped with engine slingers, attach proper slingers and bolts described in
PARTS CATALOG.
CAUTION:
●Always be careful to work safely, avoid forceful or uninstructed operations.
●Do not start working until exhaust system and engine coolant are cool enough.
●If items or work required are not covered by the engine main body section, refer to the applicable
sections.
●Always use the support point specified for lifting.
●Use either 2-pole lift type or separate type lift as best you can. If board-on type is used for
unavoidable reasons, support at the rear axle jacking point with transmission jack or similar tool
before starting work, in preparation for the backward shift of center of gravity.
●For supporting points for lifting and jacking point at rear axle, refer to GI-35, "Garage Jack and
Safety Stand" .

How to Select Piston and Bearing EBS00KNV
DESCRIPTION
*For the service parts, the grade for fitting cannot be selected between a piston pin and a connecting rod.
(Only 0 grade is available.) The information at the shipment from the plant is described as a reference.
●The identification grade stamped on each part is the grade for the dimension measured in new condition.
This grade cannot apply to reused parts.
●For reused or repaired parts, measure the dimension accurately. Determine the grade by comparing the
measurement with the values of each selection table.
●For details of the measurement method of each part, the reuse standards and the selection method of the
selective fitting parts, refer to the text.
