Securing a Child Restraint in the Right
Front Seat Position
Your vehicle has a front passenger air bag. Never put a

-facing child restraint in this seat. Heres why:

Although a rear seat is a safer place, you can secure a
forward
-facing child restraint in the right front seat.
Youll be using the lap
-shoulder belt. See the earlier

feature on the shoulder belt retractor, pull the rest
of the shoulder belt all the way out of the retractor
to set the lock.

Older children who have outgrown booster seats should
wear the vehicles safety belts.

Safety Belt Extender
If the vehicles safety belt will fasten around you, you
should use it.
But if a safety belt isnt long enough to fasten, your
dealer will order you an extender. Its free.
