CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Connecting terminals Tc and E1 of the DLC1 causes the ECU to display the DTC by flashing the ABS warning
light.
WIRING DIAGRAM
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check voltage between terminals Tc and E1 of DLC1.
CHECK:
(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(b) Measure the voltage between terminals Tc and E1 of the
DLC1.
OK:
Voltage: 10 − 14 V
OK If ABS warning light does not blink even after Tc
and E1 are connected, ECU may be defective.

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The sensor check circuit detects abnormalities in the speed sensor signal which cannot be detected with
the DTC check. Connecting terminals Ts and E1 of the DLC1 in the engine compartment starts the check.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1 Check voltage between terminals Ts and E1 of DLC1.
PREPARATION:
(a) Turn the ignition switch ON.
(b) Measure the voltage between terminals Ts and E1 of the
DLC1.

PRE−CHECK
1. DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM
(a) Check the indicator.
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) Check that the CRUISE MAIN indicator light comes
on when the cruise control main switch is pushed
ON, and that the indicator light goes off when the
main switch is pushed OFF.
HINT:
If the indicator check result is not normal, proceed to trouble-
shooting (See page BE−2) for the combination meter
section.
(b) Check the DTC.
HINT:
If a malfunction occurs in the vehicle speed sensors or actuator,
etc. during cruise control driving, the ECU actuates AUTO CAN-
CEL of the cruise control and blinks the CRUISE MAIN indicator
light to inform the driver of a malfunction. At the same time, the
malfunction is stored in memory as a DTC.
(c) Output of DTC using diagnosis check wire.
(1) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(2) Using SST, connect terminals Tc and E
1 of DLC1.
SST 09843−18020
(3) Read the DTC on the CRUISE MAIN indicator light.
HINT:
If the DTC is not output, inspect the diagnosis circuit (See
page DI−374).
As an example, the blinking patterns for codes; normal,
11 and 21 are shown in the illustration.
