When trouble arises
When using a flat-bed truck to
transport the vehicle, use tire
strapping belts. Refer to the
owner’s manual of the flat-bed
truck for the tire strapping
method.
In order to suppress vehicle
movement during transporta-
tion, set the parking brake and
turn the power switch off.
Your vehicle has not towing
hook. If towing is necessary, we
recommend having your vehicle
towed by your Toyota dealer or
commercial towing service.
Fluid leaks under the vehicle.
(Water dripping from the air
conditioning after use is nor-
mal.)
Flat-looking tires or uneven
tire wear
Engine coolant temperature
gauge needle continually
points higher than normal.
Voltmeter continually points
higher or lower than normal.
Engine oil pressure gauge

When trouble arises

*: This light illuminates on the mu lti-information display with a message.
If a war ning light tur ns on or a war ning buzzer
sounds
Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning
lights comes on or flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, but
then goes off, this does not necessarily indicate a malfunc-
tion in the system. However, if this continues to occur, have
the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer.

Your Toyota vehicle is filled with “Toyota Genuine Differential Gear
Oil” at the factory.
Use Toyota approved “Toyota Genuine Differential Gear Oil” or an
equivalent oil of matching quality to satisfy the above specifi cation.
Please contact your Toyota dealer for further details.
*1: Minimum pedal clearance when depressed with a force of 110 lbf (490 N,
50 kgf) while the hybrid system is running.
*2: Make sure to confirm that the brake warning light (yellow) doe s not illumi-
nate. (If the brake warning light illuminates, refer to P.509.)
