Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)*†3
Lane Keeping Assist (LK A) is designed to detect the lane markers on the road with a front view camera on the windshield, and may assist the driver ’s steering to potentially help keep the vehicle in the lane When turned on, the instrument cluster indicator will initially illuminate white or green It will remain white when the vehicle is traveling slower than 40 mph or when the system does not detect the lane markers When LK A detects the lane markers and can assist the steering, the Lane Safety icon will illuminate green
If LK A detects that you are moving outside of your lane, LK A may give an audible warning and display Lane Departure Warning on the instrument cluster, or, LK A may provide steering inputs, trying to prevent the vehicle from moving outside its lane
Hands-off Warning - If the driver takes their hands off the Steering Wheel for several seconds, a warning message will appear on the Instrument Cluster
There are three available modes:
•Off - LK A will turn off
•
Lane Keeping Assist - LK A will automatically assist the driver ’s steering when lane departure is detected to help prevent the vehicle from moving out of its lane
•
Lane Departure Warning - LK A will warn the driver with an audible warning when lane departure is detected The driver must steer the vehicle
LK A will operate under the following conditions:
•The vehicle speed exceeds approximately 40 mph
•
LK A recognizes both sides of the lane markers the vehicle is traveling in
•
The vehicle is between the lane markers
REMINDERS:
•
LK A will not issue a warning if the turn signals or hazard lights are activated
•
When the ignition is cycled, LK A will return to the previously set state

The ESC system is designed to help stabilize the vehicle during certain cornering maneuvers It is a good idea to keep the ESC turned on for daily driving whenever possible
Press the ESC OFF button B to turn Traction Control OFF/ON
To turn OFF both the Traction Control and Stability Control, press and hold for more than 3 seconds Press it again to turn ON
HAC helps prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when accelerating from a stop while on a steep incline The HAC automatically activates whether the ESC is OFF or ON but does NOT activate when the ESC has malfunctioned
REMINDERS:
•
ESC is active by default at vehicle star tup When the ignition is cycled, ESC will turn ON again
•
The ESC Indicator Light in the instrument cluster will illuminate whenever the ESC is in operation

Instrument Cluster Illumination Control
With the parking lights/headlights ON, press the button A (+) or (-) to adjust the brightness of the instrument panel illumination
REMINDER: The Instrument Cluster illumination Control does not adjust brightness on the infotainment system screens Use the display set tings in the Setup menu to adjust the brightness on the screen

•When HAC is active (e g , during initial acceleration from a stop on an incline), you may notice that the brakes will momentarily remain engaged after you depress the accelerator – this is normal HAC operation

High Beam Assist (HBA) Video

High Beam Assist is designed to automatically adjust the headlight range by switching between high and low beams based on light detected from other vehicles and road conditions
To enable HBA , toggle the light switch to the AUTO Light position and push the lever away from you The High Beam Assist indicator will illuminate

•Rotate the switch to change the Headlight function A
•Push the lever to turn the High Beams ON B
•Pull the lever to flash the Headlights/High Beams C
AUTO Light position* – When the light switch is in the AUTO Light position, the tail lights and headlights will turn ON/OFF automatically depending on the amount of light outside the vehicle
Daytime Running Lights (DRL)* – DRL may help others to see the front of your vehicle during the day The lights will turn on automatically when the ignition or Engine Start/Stop button is ON and the headlight switch is in the AUTO position, unless one of the
following occurs:
•Headlights are on
•Parking brake is applied
•Engine is turned off
•Headlight switch is in the OFF position

The Smart Power Liftgate with Auto Open can be operated from several controls to either open, close or lock the Liftgate The Smart Power Liftgate will close the Liftgate, lock all doors and Liftgate and then arm the vehicle
When the Smart Key fob is on your person and you are near the back of the vehicle, within close proximity, the hazard lights will blink and a chime will sound for about 3 seconds as an alert that the Smart Power Liftgate is about to open Then the alert system will blink and chime two additional times before opening the Smart Power Liftgate
The Smart Power Liftgate feature is off by default To enable the Smart Power Liftgate, go to User Settings mode in the LCD Instrument Cluster or the Vehicle Settings* in the Infotainment System
REMINDERS:
•All doors are closed and locked after about 15 seconds
•The Smar t Power Liftgate feature will not operate when:
-
The doors are recently closed and locked, and the Smar t Key is still detected after 15 seconds near the vehicle or within 60 inches of the door handles
-A door is not locked or closed
-The Smar t Key is in the vehicle
•
Press any but ton on the Smar t Key fob during the Detect and Aler t stage, or move out of the detection area, to deactivate the Smar t Power Liftgate function
•
When the ignition is on, the Smar t Power Liftgate will only operate with the gear shift in the Park (P) position
•The Smar t Key must be outside of the vehicle for the Smar t Liftgate with Auto Open to operate
•Ensure obstacles and people are out of the way of the Liftgate
•When closing, be mindful of any objects or persons

The interior lights automatically turn off approximately 30 seconds after the Engine Start/Stop button is OFF
Map/Room Lamp Operation
•Press lens A to turn the Driver ’s/Passenger ’s Map Lamps ON/OFF This light produces a spot beam for convenient use as a map lamp or as a personal lamp for the driver or the front passenger
•Press button B to turn all the Map/Room Lamps ON/OFF

Press button C to turn the Map/Room Lamp ON, for 30 seconds, when a door is opened, unlocked from Smart Key or the ignition is turned OFF When pressed and a door is opened, or doors are unlocked from the Smart Key, the Map and Room Lamps turn ON for approximately 30 seconds

Panoramic Sunroof with Power Sunshade*
The Sunroof and Sunshade operation is controlled through a multidirectional switch E The ignition needs to be ON to operate the sunroof / power sunshade
To slide the power sunshade and sunroof:
•Auto Open – Push the switch E backward to the second detent position and release
•Auto Close – Push the switch E forward to the second detent position and release
To slide the power sunshade only:

How to Sync Transmitter with HomeLink®*
If programming for the first time, begin with Step 1 (repeating this step will delete all information)
To program non-rolling and rolling code garage door openers and other devices:
1 Press and hold the left A and C buttons simultaneously until the indicator light G begins to flash (to reprogram buttons, skip this step)
2 Press and hold the desired button A B or C and hold the button on the transmitter while it is approximately 1 to 3 inches away from the mirror The HomeLink® Indicator light E will flash rapidly once the frequency signal has been successfully programmed
To finish programming rolling code garage door openers, complete these steps:
3 Locate the “learn” or “smart ” button on the garage door ’s motor head unit Press and release the button and complete Step 4 within 30 seconds
4 Firmly press and release the programmed HomeLink® button up to three times
