•Blinks if the immobilizer system cannot
recognize the key information.•Blinks - You cannot start the engine. Set the
power mode to VEHICLE OF F, then select the ON
mode again.
Depress and hold the brake pedal before setting
the power mode to ON.
• Repeatedly blinks - The system may be
malfunctioning. Have your vehicle checked by a
dealer.
• Do not attempt to alter this system or add other
devices to it. Electrical problems can occur.

Shows the outside temperature in Fahr enheit (U.S.) or Celsius (Canada).
■Adjusting the outside temperature display
Adjust the temperature reading by up to ±5°F or ±3°C if the temperature reading
seems incorrect.
Shows certain detected traffic signs while driving.
If speed limit warning is activated, the si gn icon blinks when the maximum speed of
the traffic sign detected is exceeded by a threshold, when compared with the vehicle
speed.

The temperature sensor is in the front bumper.
Road heat and exhaust from another vehicle can
affect the temperature reading when your vehicle
speed is less than 19 mph (30 km/h).
It may take several minutes for the display to be
updated after the temperature reading has stabilized.
You can adjust the temperature reading.

■Trip meter
Shows the total number of miles or kilomete rs driven since the last reset. Meters A
and B can be used to measure two separate trips.
Resetting a trip meter
To reset the trip meter, display it, press the left selector wheel, and then select
Reset .
u The trip meter is reset to 0.0.
■Average fuel economy
Shows the estimated average fuel economy of each trip meter in mpg or l/100 km.
The display is updated at set intervals. When a trip meter is reset, the average fuel
economy is also reset.
■Instant fuel economy
Shows the instant fuel economy as a bar graph in mpg or l/100 km.
■Range
Shows the estimated distance you can trave l on the remaining fuel. This estimated
distance is based on the vehicle’s current fuel economy.

■Speed/Distance Units
Enables you to show another unit on th e driver information interface and audio/
information screen and set the displayed m easurements to read in either miles and
mph or km and km/h.
Press and hold the left selector wheel when you select No content on the driver
information interface. Each ti me you do this, the unit will change from miles and
mph to km and km/h or vice versa. After this, a confirmation screen will appear for
a few seconds.
Press the left selector wheel when the Brightness screen is displayed.
When the power mode is in ON, you can use the left selector wheel to adjust
instrument panel brightness.
Brighten: Roll the left selector wheel up.
Dim: Roll the left selector wheel down.
Press the left selector wheel to exit.

The brightness of the gauge is automatically adjusted
depending on the ambient brightness.
•The brightness dims when the ambient light is
dark.

bright.
You can change the setting even when the ambient
lighting is bright, but the brightness of the gauge
won’t change.

displayed measurements to read in either
miles and mph or km and km/h.
Press and hold the right selector wheel when
you select the No Content/Unit Change screen
on the driver information interface. Each time
you do this, the unit will change from miles
and mph to km and km/h or vice versa. After

Low Keyless Remote Signal Strength
The vehicle transmits radio waves to locate the keyless remote to start the engine;
lock and unlock all the doors and the fuel fill door; and open the tailgate, and the
power tailgate

In the following cases, starting the engine , locking/unlocking the doors/fuel fill door,
or opening the tailgate/power tailgate
* may be inhibited, or operation may be
unstable:
• Strong radio waves are being tra nsmitted by nearby equipment.
• You are carrying the keyless remote together with telecommunications
equipment, laptop computers, ce ll phones, or wireless devices.
• A metallic object is touching or covering the keyless remote.
1Low Keyless Remote Signal Strength
Communication between the keyless remote and the
vehicle consumes the ke yless remote’s battery.
Battery life is about two years, but this varies
depending on re gularity of use.
The battery is consumed whenever the keyless
remote is receivi ng strong radio wave s. Avoid placing
it near electrical appliances such as televisions and
personal computers.
