2.Fully insert the fuel filler funnel into thefuel filler inlet.
3.Add fuel to your vehicle from the fuelcontainer.
4.Remove the fuel filler funnel.
5.Fully close the fuel filler door.
6.Clean the fuel filler funnel and place itback in your vehicle or correctly disposeof it.
Note:If your vehicle runs out of fuel add aminimum of 1.3 gal (5 L) of fuel to restartthe engine.
Note:You may need to switch the ignitionfrom off to on several times after refuelingto allow the fuel system to pump the fuelfrom the tank to the engine. Whenrestarting, cranking time takes a fewseconds longer than normal.
Note:Extra funnels can be purchased froman authorized dealer if you choose todispose of the funnel.

2.Select the correct fuel pump nozzle foryour vehicle.
3.Insert the fuel pump nozzle up to thefirst notch. Keep the fuel pump nozzleresting on the fuel tank filler pipe.
4.Hold the fuel pump nozzle in positionA when refueling. Holding the fuelpump nozzle in position B can affectthe flow of fuel and shut off the fuelpump nozzle before the fuel tank is full.

5.Operate the fuel pump nozzle withinthe area shown.
6.When the pump shuts off, wait fiveseconds, then raise the fuel pumpnozzle and slowly remove it.
7.Fully close the fuel filler door.

1.When you stop your vehicle, shift intopark (P) and switch the ignition off.
2.Press the button on the left side of theinstrument panel next to the headlampswitch to open the fuel filler door. Thefuel filler door can take up to 15seconds to open before you can inserta fuel filler nozzle.
3.Select the correct fuel pump nozzle foryour vehicle.
4.Insert the fuel pump nozzle up to thefirst notch. Keep the fuel pump nozzleresting on the fuel tank filler pipe.
5.Hold the fuel pump nozzle in positionA when refueling. Holding the fuelpump nozzle in position B can affectthe flow of fuel and shut off the fuelpump nozzle before the fuel tank is full.
6.Operate the fuel pump nozzle withinthe area shown.

Complete the refueling process within 20minutes. If 20 minutes elapses, press thebutton on the left side of the instrumentpanel again. Fuel pump nozzle automaticshut off could occur if you do not press thebutton on the left side instrument panel.

DRIVING ON SNOW AND ICE
WARNING: If you are driving inslippery conditions that require tirechains or cables, then it is critical thatyou drive cautiously. Keep speeds down,allow for longer stopping distances andavoid aggressive steering to reduce thechances of a loss of vehicle controlwhich can lead to serious injury or death.If the rear end of your vehicle slides whilecornering, steer in the direction of theslide until you regain control of yourvehicle.
On ice and snow, you should drive moreslowly than usual. Your vehicle has a fourwheel anti-lock brake system, do not pumpthe brake pedal. See Anti-Lock BrakingSystem Limitations (page 291).
BREAKING-IN
Your vehicle requires a break-in period. Forthe first 1,000 mi (1,600 km), avoid drivingat high speeds, heavy braking, aggressiveshifting or using your vehicle to tow. Duringthis time, your vehicle may exhibit someunusual driving characteristics.
DRIVING ECONOMICALLY
The following helps to improve fuelconsumption:
•Drive smoothly, accelerate gently andanticipate the road ahead to avoidheavy braking.
•Regularly check your tire pressures andmake sure that they are inflated to thecorrect pressure.
•Follow the recommended maintenanceschedule and carry out therecommended checks.
•Plan your journey and check the trafficbefore you set off. It is more efficientto combine errands into a single tripwhenever possible.
•Avoid idling the engine in cold weatheror for extended periods. Start theengine only when you are ready to setoff.
•Do not carry unnecessary weight in yourvehicle as extra weight wastes fuel.
•Do not add unnecessary accessoriesto the exterior of your vehicle, forexample running boards. If you use aroof rack, remember to fold it down orremove it when not in use.
•Do not shift into neutral when you arebraking or when your vehicle is slowingdown.
•Shut all windows when driving at highspeeds.
•Switch off all electric systems whennot in use, for example air conditioning.Make sure that you unplug anyaccessories from the auxiliary powerpoints when not in use.
