If there is any damage to the roof panels,see an authorized dealer.
Make sure the locating pins on the rear roofpanel sit flush in your vehicle wheninstalled.
Note:Do not step or kneel on the centerconsole during roof removal or once roofpanels are removed.
Failure to follow these instructions couldcause interior water damage, stains ormildew:
•Properly position the hard topassembly to seal the top to your vehicleduring installation. Improperinstallation could cause water to leakinto the vehicle’s interior.
•Properly handle and store theremovable roof panels. Improperhandling and storage could damagethe seals, causing water to leak intothe vehicle’s interior.
•Do not place anything on top of therear roof panel when it is removed fromthe vehicle. This could cause damageto the rear roof panel and its seals.
REMOVING AND INSTALLING THEFRONT ROOF PANEL -EXCLUDING: RAPTOR
Remove the driver side front roof panelbefore removing the passenger side frontroof panel.
1.Fold down the sun visor against thewindshield.
2.Turn the three L-shaped latches on thedriver side front roof panel, unlockingthem from the roof.
3.Unlatch the driver side header panellatch at the top of the windshield.

7.Secure the wiring harness to the bodyside by plugging it into the receptacleand pushing up on the locking tab.
8.Secure the washer hose by snapping itinto the top of the body sidereceptacle.

Make sure to remove the soft top trimpieces before installing the hard top.
Remove the three fasteners to the soft toptrim piece on each side of your vehicleusing the provided head driver and ratchet.

STORING THE DOORS AND
THE ROOF PANELS - RAPTOR
WARNING: Do not store removeddoors or roof panels in vehicle withoutusing the Ford onboard storage kit, andverifying they have been secured perinstructions. Failure to follow thisinstruction could result in personal injuryor death.
WARNING: Do not store the reardoors in the vehicle. The onboard storagekit is for the front doors and roof panelsonly. Unsecured doors and panels couldbecome a projectile in a sudden stop orcrash.

Do not remove or modify the C-pillar brace.
Do not secure or load items on the B-pillarbrace when the roof panel is removed.
Note:Cargo can shift under severe vehicleuse. To reduce the risk of damage, avoidhigh speed or extreme rock crawl off-roadsituations when storing the doors in thecargo area.
Note:Inspect the bags and harnessperiodically to make sure they are notdamaged. Inspect the door retentionharness straps to make sure there are nonicks, tears or cuts. Replace if necessary.
Note:Clean the roof panels and doors priorto storing them in the bags as dirt maydamage the finish.
Storing the Front Roof Panels
1.Remove the front roof panels. SeeRemoving and Installing the FrontRoof Panel (page 385).
2.Open the bag and pull out the divider.Place the first panel into the bag.Replace the divider before placing thesecond panel into the bag.
3.Zip the bag closed.
4.Gently slide the roof panel bag into thecargo area.

CLEANING STRIPES ORGRAPHICS
It is recommended to wash your vehicle byhand however, pressure washing may beused under the following conditions:
•Use a spray with a 40° wide sprayangle pattern.
•Keep the nozzle at a 12 in (305 mm)distance and 90° angle to yourvehicle's surface.
•Do not use water pressure higher than2,000 psi (14,000 kPa).
•Do not use water hotter than 179°F(82°C).
Note:Holding the pressure washer nozzleat an angle to the vehicle's surface maydamage graphics and cause the edges topeel away from the vehicle's surface.
CLEANING CAMERA LENSES ANDSENSORS
We recommend that you only uselukewarm or cold water and a soft clothto clean the camera lens and sensors.
Note:Do not pressure wash camera lensand sensors.
CLEANING THE HARD TOP
We recommend that you only clean thehard top in the following way:
1.Use a sponge to remove dust and loosedirt on the hard top surface.
2.Wipe the surface with a soft, dampcloth and a mild soap and watersolution. Dry the area with a clean, softcloth.
3.Make sure the surface of your hard topis dry before applying a small amountof conditioner or spray wax.
4.For additional information andassistance, we recommend that youcontact an authorized dealer.
Note:Test any conditioner or spray wax onan inconspicuous area before applyingbroadly.
Note:Do not use alcohol containing cleaneror any type of solvent on the hard topsurface.
Note:Do not use power tools, paste waxor polish on the hard top surface.
CLEANING THE UNDERBODY
Regularly clean the underside of yourvehicle using water. Keep body and doordrain holes free of debris or foreignmaterial.
CLEANING THE INTERIOR
CLEANING THE INSTRUMENTPANEL
WARNING: Do not use chemicalsolvents or strong detergents whencleaning the steering wheel orinstrument panel to avoid contaminationof the airbag system.
We recommend that you only clean theinstrument panel and cluster lens with adamp soft cloth. Dry the area with a clean,soft cloth.
For additional information and assistance,we recommend that you contact anauthorized dealer.
Note:Avoid cleaners or polishes thatincrease the gloss of the upper portion ofthe instrument panel. The dull finish in thisarea helps protect you from undesirablewindshield reflection.

We recommend that you only use a mildsoap and water solution on a soft cloth.Dry the area with a clean, soft cloth.
CLEANING DISPLAYS ANDSCREENS
We recommend that you only use amicrofiber cloth in a circular motion toclean off the fingerprint or dust.
If dirt or fingerprints are still on the screen,apply a small amount of alcohol to thecloth and try to clean it again.
Note:Do not pour or spray alcohol onto thetouchscreen.
Note: Do not use detergent or any type ofsolvent to clean the touchscreen.
CLEANING FABRIC
WARNING: On vehicles equippedwith seat-mounted airbags, do not usechemical solvents or strong detergents.Such products could contaminate theside airbag system and affectperformance of the side airbag in a crash.

3.Make sure the leather is dry, then applya small amount of conditioner to aclean, dry cloth.
4.Rub the conditioner into the leatheruntil it disappears. Allow theconditioner to dry, then repeat theprocess for the entire interior. If a filmappears, wipe it off with a dry, cleancloth.
