vehicle  need  to  be  replaced,  Toyota  recommends  that  genuine  Toy ota  parts 
or  accessories,  be  used  to  replace  them.  Other  parts  or  accesso ries  of 
matching quality can also be used. 
Toyota  cannot  accept  any  liability  or  guarantee  spare  parts  and   accessories 
which  are  not  genuine  Toyota  products,  nor  for  replacement  or  i nstallation 
involving such  parts.  In addition,  damage or performance  proble ms resulting 
from  the  use  of  non-genuine  Toyota  spare  parts  or  accessories  m ay  not  be 
covered under warranty. 
Also,  remodeling  like  this  will  have  an  effect  on  advanced  safe ty  equipment 
such  as  Toyota  Safety  Sense  (if  equipped)  and  there  is  a  danger  that it will

WARNING
Observe the following precautions.  
Failure  to  do  so  may  cause  the  driver’s  floor  mat  to  slip,  poss ibly  interfering 
with the pedals while driving. An unexpectedly high speed may r esult or it may 
become difficult to stop the vehicle. This could lead to an acc ident, resulting in 
death or serious injury. 
■ When installing the driver’s floor mat  
● Do  not  use  floor  mats  designed  for  other  models  or  different  model  year 
vehicles, even if they are Toyota Genuine floor mats. 
● Only use floor mats designed for the driver’s seat. 
● Always  install the  floor mat  securely  using the  retaining  hooks (clips) pro- 
vided. 
● Do not use two or more floor mats on top of each other. 
● Do not place the floor mat bottom-side up or upside-down. 
■ Before driving
●Check  that  the  floor  mat  is  securely 
fixed  in  the  correct  place  with  all  the 
provided  retaining  hooks  (clips).  Be 
especially  careful  to  perform  this  check
after cleaning the floor. 
● With the hybrid system stopped and the 
shift lever in P, fully depress each pedal
to  the  floor  to  make  sure  it  does  not 
interfere with the floor mat.

Airbag manual on-off  system
“PASSENGER  AIR  BAG”  indi- 
cator
The  “PASSENGER AIR  BAG”  and 
“ON”  indicator  light  turns  on  when 
the  airbag  system is  on, and about
after  60  seconds  they  go  off  (only 
when  the  power  switch  is  in  ON 
mode).
Airbag manual on-off switch
: If equipped
This system deactivates the front passenger airbag. 
Only  deactivate  the  airbag  when  using  a  child  restraint  system 
on the front passenger seat.

■The meters and display illuminate when 
The power switch is turned to ON mode. 
■ Hybrid System Indicator 
Eco area  
Shows that the vehicle is being  driven in an Eco-friendly manner. 
Power area  
Shows  that  an  Eco-friendly  driving  range  is  being  exceeded  (dur ing  full 
power driving, etc.) 
● In the following situation, the Hybrid System Indicator does not operate. 
• “READY” indicator is not illuminated. 
• The shift position is in a range P, R or N. 
● By  keeping  the  indicator  needle  within  Eco  area,  more  Eco-friendly  driving 
can be achieved. 
● Charge  area  indicates  regeneration*  status.  Regenerated  energy  will  be 
used to charge the hybrid battery (traction battery).
*: When  used  in  this  manual,  “regeneration”  refers  to  the  conver sion  of 
energy created by the movement of the vehicle into electrical e nergy. 
Charge area  
Shows  that  energy  is  being  recovered
via the regenerative brake. 
Hybrid Eco area  
Shows  that  gasoline  engine  power  is 
not being used very often. 
The  gasoline  engine  will  automatically 
stop  and  restart  under  various  condi- 
tions.
