Switching on high beam

Turn the light switch to the L or X
position. 
Push the combination switch in the direction
of ar row 1.
When the high beam is activated, the indicator
lamp for low beam L will be deactivated
and replaced by the indicator lamp for high
beam K.
Switching oM high beam 
Push the combination switch in the direction
of ar
row 1 or pull it in the direction of arrow
3.
Headlamp Oashing 
Pull the combination switch in the direction of
ar
row 3.
Turn signal light 
To indicate br
ieOy: push the combination
switch brieOy to the point of resistance in the
direction of arrow 2 or 4.
The corresponding turn signal light will Oash
three times. 
To indicate permanently: push t
he combina-
tion switch beyond the point of resistance in
the direction of arrow 2 or 4. Activating/deactivating the hazard warning lights

Press button 1. The hazard warning lights will switch on automati-
call
y if:
= the airbag has been deployed.
= the vehicle is braked heavily from a speed of
more than 70 km/h to a standstill.
When you pull away again, the hazard warning
light system will switch oM automatically at
approximately 10 km/h. You can also switch oM

lighting lights up for 40 seconds aser the vehicle
is unlocked. When you start the vehicle, the sur-
round lighting is deactivated and the automatic
driving lights are activated.

Insert the new wiper blade into the wiper arm

he direction of arrow 1.
Slide catch 2 in t
he direction of arrow 3
until it engages in the locking position. 
Make sure that the wiper blade is seated cor-
r

ectly. 
Fold the wiper arms back onto the wind-
scr
een. 
Switch on the vehicle. 
Press the î butt
on on the combination
switch (  page 137).
The wiper arms will return to their original
positions.

% Check the condition of the wiper blades regu-
lar

ly and replace them in the event of visible
damage or ongoing smearing. Maintenance display

Unclip wiper blade 1 fr

Position wiper blade 1 wit h both lugs 3 on
holder 2 on the wiper arm. 
Push wiper blade 1 in t

4 until it engages in holder 2. 
Make sure that wiper blade 1 is seat
ed cor-
