Installing the cargo net
Rear mounting
1. Fold down the rear seat backrests tomake mounting easier.
2. Guide the ends of the cargo net's cassette over the load anchoring eyelets in the side panel recesses. Press the ends of the cas-sette into place on each side. Make surethe cassette is securely in place.
3. Pull up the net. 4. Insert one of the net's upper attachments
into the corresponding rear ceiling bracketand press it as far forward into the bracketas possible.
5. Press the other attachment into the rear ceiling bracket on the opposite side andpress it as far forward into the bracket aspossible.
Front mounting
1. Fold down the rear seat backrests.
2. Align the cassette's mounting rails abovethe mounting brackets on the backrest.
3. Press the cassette into the mounting brackets.
4. Pull up the net. 5. Insert one of the net's upper attachments
into the corresponding front ceiling bracket and press it as far forward into thebracket as possible.
6. Press the other attachment into the rear ceiling bracket on the opposite side andpress it as far forward into the bracket aspossible.
Removing the cargo net1. Remove the cargo net from the ceilingbrackets by pressing the hook attach-ments rearward. Let the net retract intothe cassette.

The Federal Clean Air Act - U.S.
The Federal Clean Air Act requires vehicle manufacturers to furnish written instructionsto the ultimate purchaser to assure the properservicing and function of the components thatcontrol emissions. These services, which arelisted in the "Warranty and Service RecordsInformation" booklet, are not covered by thewarranty. You will be required to pay for laborand material used.
Maintenance
Your Volvo passed several major inspections before it was delivered to you, in accordancewith Volvo specifications. The maintenanceprocedures outlined in the Warranty and Serv-ice Records Information booklet, many ofwhich will positively affect your vehicle's emis-sions, should be performed as indicated. It isrecommended that receipts for vehicle emis-sion maintenance be retained in case ques-tions arise concerning maintenance. Inspec-tion and maintenance should also be per-formed anytime a malfunction is observed orsuspected.

Scheduling service and repairs 5
This service offers a way to send a booking request for service and workshop appoint-ments directly from the vehicle.
When it is time for service, and in certain cases if the vehicle requires repairs, a mes-sage will be displayed in the instrument paneland at the top of the center display. The timefor service is determined by how much timehas elapsed, the number of hours the enginehas run, or the distance driven since the lastservice.
To use the service
Create a Volvo ID and register it to thevehicle.

The appointment request contains information about your vehicle that helps the workshopplan for your visit. The retailer will send you a digital appointmentsuggestion. You also have information aboutyour retailer available in the vehicle so that youcan contact your workshop.
Accepting an appointment suggestionWhen the vehicle has received an appoint-ment suggestion, a message will be displayedat the top of the center display.

For some markets, the system reminds you when an appointment time is approaching and the navigation system 8

Fuses and fuseboxes All electrical functions and components are protected by a number of fuses in order toprotect the vehicle's electrical system fromdamage by short circuiting or overloading.
WARNING
Never use a foreign object or a fuse with a higher amperage than that specified toreplace a fuse. This could cause significantdamage to the electrical system and possi-bly lead to a fire.
If any electrical component or function is not responding, the component may have blown afuse due to temporary overload. If the samefuse blows repeatedly, there may be a prob-lem with the component. Volvo recommendscontacting an authorized Volvo workshop tohave the component checked.

Replacing fuses
All electrical functions and components are protected by a number of fuses in order toprotect the vehicle's electrical system fromdamage by short circuiting or overloading.
1. Refer to the fuse diagram to locate the fuse.
2. Pull out the fuse and examine it from the side to determine if the curved metal wire in the fuse is intact.
3. If the wire is broken, replace the fuse with a new fuse of the same color and amper-age.
WARNING
Never use a foreign object or a fuse with a higher amperage than that specified toreplace a fuse. This could cause significantdamage to the electrical system and possi-bly lead to a fire.
WARNING
Contact an authorized Volvo workshop for assistance replacing fuses not listed in theOwner's Manual. If fuse replacement isperformed incorrectly, significant damagecan be caused to the electrical system.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The
VIN plate is located on the top left surface of the dashboard. The Vehicle IdentificationNumber (VIN) should always be quoted in allcorrespondence concerning your vehicle withthe retailer and when ordering parts.
Tire inflation pressures. This label indi-
cates the correct inflation pressures for the tires that were on the vehicle when it left thefactory.
