If yo u ha veselected the automatic mode in the
multimedia system and you manually extend the
ru nning boa rds when the doors are closed, the
ru nning boa rds will remain extended. Even if you
open a door and then close it again, theru nning
boa rds will remain extended. Automatic mode will
be reactivated only when you are driving at a
speed greater than 4 km/h. &

The running boa rdsex tend at the side during
ex tension. During retraction, theru nning
boa rds are integ rated in the side skirt. Parts of
th e body could become trapped. There may

If yo u ha veactivated the function in the multime-
dia system (/ page 287),the image from the
re ve rsing camera is displa yed in the media display
when reve rsege ar is selected. Dynamic guide
lines show the path theve hicle will take with the
cur rent steering angle. This helps youto orient
yo urself and toavo id obstacles when reve rsing.
The reve rsing camera is only an aid. It is not a
substitute foryo ur attention tothe sur roundings.
The responsibility for safe manoeuvring and par k-
ing remains with you. Make sure that there are no persons, animals or objects
etc., in the manoeu-
vring area while manoeuvring and parking.

The risk of aquaplaning is increased on wet
ro ads, especially when the speed of theve hi-

tread dep thand the condition of the
tread across the entire width of all tyres.
Minimum tread dep thfor:
R Summer ty res: 3 mm
R M+S tyres: 4 mm #
For saf etyre asons, replace the tyres
before the legall y-prescribed limit forthe
minimum tread dep thisreached. Car
ryout thefo llowing checks on all wheels regu-
lar ly, at least once a month or as required, for
ex ample, prior toa long jou rney or driving o.-
