Be careful not to apply unneces-sary force on the radar sensor or
sensor cover. If the sensor is
forcibly moved out of proper
alignment, FCA system may not
operate correctly. In this case, a
warning message may not be
displayed. We recommend that
you have the vehicle inspected
by an authorized HYUNDAI deal-
er.
If the front bumper becomes damaged in the area around the
front radar sensor, FCA system
may not operate properly. We
recommend that you have the
vehicle inspected by authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Use only genuine parts to repair or replace a damaged sensor or
sensor cover. Do not apply paint
to the sensor cover. NEVER install any accessories
or stickers on the front wind-
shield, or tint the front wind-shield.
NEVER place any reflective objects (i.e. white paper, mirror)
over the crash pad. Any light
reflection may prevent the sys-
tem from functioning properly.
Pay extreme caution to keep the camera dry.
NEVER disassemble the camera assembly, or apply any impact
on the camera assembly.
Information
We recommend that you have the sys-
tem checked by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer when:
The windshield glass is replaced.
The front radar sensor or cover gets damaged or replaced.Warning message and warning

(FCA) system disabled.
Radar blocked
When the sensor cover is blocked
with dirt, snow, or debris, FCA sys-
tem may not detect other vehicles. If
this occurs, a warning message will
appear on the LCD display. Remove
any dirt, snow, or debris and clean
the radar sensor cover before oper-ating FCA system.
The system will operate normally
when such dirt, snow or debris is
removed.i

The system detects lane
markers and controls the
steering wheel by a front view
camera, therefore, if the lane
markers are hard to detect,
the system may not work
properly.
Please refer to "Limitations of the System".
Do not remove or damage the
related parts of LKA system.
You may not hear a warning sound of LKA system if the
audio volume is high.
Do not place objects on the
dashboard that reflects light
such as mirrors, white paper,
etc. This may prevent LKA
system from functioning
properly.
When the lane markers are
hard to detect, please refer to"Driver's Attention".(Continued)
(Continued)
Always have your hands on the steering wheel while LKA
system is activated. If you
continue to drive with yourhands off the steering wheel
after the "Keep hands onsteering wheel" warning mes-
sage appears, the system will
stop controlling the steeringwheel.
The steering wheel is not con-
tinuously controlled so if the
vehicle speed is at a higher
rate when leaving a lane the
vehicle may not be controlled
by the system. The driver
must always follow the speedlimit when using the system.
If you attach objects to the
steering wheel, the system
may not assist steering or the
hands off alarm may not work
properly.
When you tow a trailer, make
sure that you turn off LKAsystem.
(Continued)
Do not disassemble LKA sys-
tem camera temporarily to
tint the window or attach anytypes of coatings and acces-
sories. If you disassemble the
camera and assemble it again,
we recommend that you take
your vehicle to an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer and have the
system checked for calibra-tion.
When you replace the wind-
shield glass, LKA system
camera or related parts of the
steering wheel, we recom-
mend that you take your vehi-
cle to an authorized HYUNDAI
dealer and have the system
checked for calibration.

Driving your vehicle
The lane marker is very thick orthin.
The lanes ahead are not visible due to rain, snow, water on the road, damaged or stained road
surface, or other factors.
The shadow is on the lane marker by a median strip, trees, etc.
The lanes are incomplete or the area is in a construction zone.
There are crosswalk signs or other symbols on the road.
The lane marker in a tunnel is stained with oil, etc.
The lane suddenly disappears such as at the intersection. When external condition is inter-vened
The brightness of outside changes
suddenly such as when entering or
exiting a tunnel, or when passing
under a bridge.
The brightness outside is too low such as when the headlamps are
not on at night or the vehicle isgoing through a tunnel.
There is a boundary structure in the roadway such as a concrete
barrier, guardrail and reflector post
that is inadvertently being detected
by the camera.
When light coming from a street light or an oncoming vehicle is
reflected on a wet road surfacesuch as a puddle in the road.
The field of view in front is obstructed by sun glare.
There is not enough distance between you and the vehicle in
front to be able to detect the lane
marker or the vehicle ahead is driv-
ing on the lane marker.
Road surface is not evenness. Driving on a steep grade, over a
hill, or when driving on a curvedroad.
The adverse road conditions cause excessive vehicle vibrations while
driving.
The surrounding of the inside rear view mirror temperature is highdue to direct sunlight, etc.
When front visibility is poor
The windshield or the front view camera lens is blocked with dirt or
debris.
The windshield glass is fogged up; a clear view of the road is obstruct-ed.

Detecting Sensor
The rear corner radars are located
inside the rear bumper for detecting
the side and rear areas. Always keep
the rear bumper clean for proper
operation of the system.
The warning light on the out-
side rearview mirror will illu-
minate whenever a vehicle is
detected at the rear side bythe system.
To avoid accidents, do not
focus only on the warninglight and neglect to see the
surroundings of the vehicle.
Drive safely even though the
vehicle is equipped with a
Blind-Spot Collision Warning
system. Do not solely rely on
the system but check your
surroundings before chang-
ing lanes or backing the vehi-
cle up.
The system may not alert the driver in some situations dueto system limitations so
always check your surround-ings while driving.
WARNING
Always pay attention to road and traffic conditions while
driving, whether or not thewarning light on the outside
rearview mirror illuminates orthere is a warning alarm.
Playing the vehicle audio sys-
tem at high volume may offset
Blind-Spot Collision Warningsystem warning sounds.
The warning of Blind-Spot
Collision Warning system maynot sound while other sys-tem's warning sounds.

Information
The system may suggest a break
according to the driver's driving pat-
tern or habits even if the driver does-
n't feel fatigue. Driver Attention Warning system
utilizes the front view camera sen-
sor on the front windshield for its
operation. To keep the front viewcamera sensor in the best condi-
tion, you should observe the fol-
lowings:
Never install any accessories or
stickers on the front windshield,
or tint the front windshield.
NEVER place any reflective objects (i.e. white paper, mirror)
over the dashboard. Any light
reflection may cause a malfunc-
tion of Driver Attention Warningsystem.
Pay extreme caution to keep the front view camera sensor dry.
NEVER disassemble the front view camera assembly, nor
apply any impact on the front
view camera assembly.
(Continued)(Continued)
If the sensor is forcibly moved
out of proper alignment, the sys-

We recommend that you take
your vehicle to an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer and have the
system checked for calibration.
