Inside Rearview Mirror
Before you start driving, adjust the
rearview mirror to the center on the
view through the rear window.When cleaning the mirror, use a
paper towel or similar material
dampened with glass cleaner. Do
not spray glass cleaner directly on
the mirror as that may cause the
liquid cleaner to enter the mirrorhousing.
Day/night rearview mirror (if equipped)
Make this adjustment before you
start driving and while the day/night
lever is in the day position.
Pull the day/night lever toward you to reduce glare from the headlights of
the vehicles behind you during night
driving.
Remember that you lose some
rearview clarity in the night position.
NOTICEMake sure your line of sight is
not obstructed. Do not place
objects in the rear seat, cargo
area, or behind the rear head-
rests which could interfere with
your vision through the rear
window.
WARNING
NEVER adjust the mirror while
driving. This may cause loss of
vehicle control resulting in anaccident.

To prevent serious injury during
an accident or deployment of
the air bag, do not modify the
rearview mirror and do not
install a wide mirror.

During nighttime driving, this feature will automatically detect and reduce

The auto-dimming function can be
controlled by pressing the ON/OFF
button:
1. Pressing the button turns the auto-dimming function OFF which is
indicated by the green Status
Indicator LED turning off.
2. Pressing the button again turns the auto-dimming function ON
which is indicated by the green
Status Indicator LED turning on.
The mirror defaults to the ON posi-
tion each time the vehicle is started.Z-Nav™ Compass Display
The NVS™ Mirror in your vehicle is
also equipped with a Z-Nav™
Compass that shows the vehicle
Compass heading in the Display
Window using the 8 basic cardinalheadings (N, NE, E, SE, etc.).
Compass function
The Compass can be turned ON andOFF and will remember the last state
when the vehicle is cycled. To turn
the display feature ON/OFF:
1. Press and release the button to turn the display feature OFF.
2. Press and release the button again to turn the display back ON.
Additional options can be set with
press and hold sequences of the but-
ton and are detailed below.
There is a difference between mag-
netic north and true north. To com-
pensate for this difference you willneed to adjust the Zone setting
based on where you live.

Be sure to adjust mirror angles
before driving.
Your vehicle is equipped with both
left-hand and right-hand side view
mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted
remotely with the remote switch. The
mirror heads can be folded to pre-
vent damage during an automatic
car wash or when passing through a
narrow street.
The right side view mirror is convex. Objects seen in the mirror are closer
than they appear. Use your interior side view mirror or
direct observation to determine the
actual distance of following vehicles
when changing lanes.

Do not scrape ice off the mirrorface; this may damage the sur- face of the glass.
If the mirror is jammed with ice, do not adjust the mirror by
force. Use an approved spray
de-icer (not radiator antifreeze)
spray, or a sponge or soft cloth
with very warm water, or move
the vehicle to a warm place and
allow the ice to melt.
Side view mirror control
Adjusting the side mirrors:
1. Press either the L (driver's side) or R (passenger's side) button (1) to
select the side view mirror you
would like to adjust.
2. Use the mirror adjustment control switch to position the selected mir-
ror up, down, left or right.
3. After adjustment, put the button into neutral (center) position to
prevent inadvertent adjustment. The mirrors stop moving when
they reach the maximum adjust-
ing angles, but the motor contin-
ues to operate while the switch
is pressed. Do not press the
switch longer than necessary,
the motor may be damaged.
Do not attempt to adjust the side view mirrors by hand or the
motor may be damaged.

Folding the side view mirrors
Manual type (if equipped)
To fold the side view mirrors, grasp the housing of the mirror and then
fold it toward the rear of the vehicle.
Electric type (if equipped)
Left: The mirror will unfold.
Right : The mirror will fold.
Center (AUTO) : The mirror will fold
or unfold automatically as follows:
- The mirror will fold or unfold when
the door is locked or unlocked by
the smart key.
- The mirror will fold or unfold when the door is locked or unlocked by
the button on the outside door han-
dle. The electric type outside rearview
mirror operates even though the
POWER button is in the OFF posi-
tion. However, to prevent unnec-
essary battery discharge, do not
adjust the mirrors longer than
necessary while the vehicle is not
in the ready ( ) mode.
Do not fold the electric type side
view mirror by hand. It could
cause motor failure.

Reverse Parking Aid Function (if equipped)
When you shift the vehicle to R
(Reverse) position, the side view mir-
ror(s) will rotate downwards to aid
with driving in reverse. The position
of the side view mirror switch (1)
determines whether or not the mir-
rors will move: Left/Right :When either the L (Left) or
R (Right) switch is select-
ed, both side view mirrors
will move.
Neutral : When neither switch is select- ed, the side view mirrors will
not move. The side view mirrors will automati-
cally revert to their original positions if
any of the following occur:
The POWER button is placed to
either the OFF position or the ACC position.
The vehicle is shifted to any posi- tion except R (Reverse).
The remote control side view mir- ror switch is not selected.

Welcome Mirror/LightTo activate or deactivate the welcome mirror and/or light function.

Wireless Charging SystemTo activate or deactivate the wireless charging system in the front seat.
For more details, refer to "Wireless Charging System" in this chapter.
Wiper/Lights DisplayTo activate or deactivate the Wiper/Light mode.
When activated, the LCD display shows the selected Wiper/Light mode whenever you changed the
mode.
Smart regeneration
To activate or deactivate the Smart regeneration function. When activated, the regeneration level is
adjusted automatically according to the current driving situation.
