Concept
The
Ambient
Air
Package
can
be
used
to
clean
and
scent
the
interior
air
with
high-quality
fra#j
grances.
Ionization
is
used
to
clean
the
air
from
sus#j pended
particles.
Together
with
the
selected
fra#j
grance,
ionization
contributes
to
well-being
and
relaxation
while
driving.
General
information Two
different
fragrances
can
be
selected
in
the
vehicle.
A
variety
of
other
fragrances
is
possible by
replacing
the
fragrance
cartridges.
The
following
criteria
can
influence
the
percep#j
tion
of
scents
in
the
car's
interior:
'xAutomatic
climate
control
settings.'xTemperature
and
air
humidity.'xTime
of
day
and
season.'xPhysical
condition
of
the
vehicle
occupants,
for
instance
fatigue.
BMW
recommends
the
use
of
genuine
BMW
fragrance
cartridges.
The
genuine
BMW
fragrance
cartridges
are
not
suitable
for
refilling.
When
a
cartridge
is
empty,
replace
it
with
a
new
fragrance
cartridge.
Safety

Warning
Refilled
genuine
BMW
fragrance
cartridges
can

the
emission
of
harmful
substances,

and
damage

There

compartment.
To
ensure
a
pleasant
fragrance
inside
of
the
ve#j hicle
when
starting
the
trip,
fragrancing
can
occur
prior
to
the
trip.
The
system
is
automatically
switched
on
with
the
parked-car
ventilation
if
fra#j grancing
was
switched
on
at
the
end
of
the
last
trip.

Remote
Control

ces

to

different
hand-held
transmitters.
To
operate
the
remote
control,
the
buttons
on
the
interior
mirror
must
be
programmed
with
the

sired
functions.
The
hand-held
transmitter
for
the particular
system
is
required
in
order
to
programthe
remote
control.
Before
selling
the
vehicle,
delete
the
stored
func#j tions
for
the
sake
of
security.
If
possible,
do
not
install
the
antenna
of
the

mote-controlled
system,
e.g.
the
garage
door
drive,
near
metal
objects
to
