the
system
responds
as

halt

driver

can
reduce
the
risk
of

further
collision
and
the
consequences
thereof.
At
standstill
After
coming
to
a
halt,
the
brake
is
released
auto#j matically.
Harder
vehicle
braking
In
certain
situations,
it
can
be
necessary
to
bring
the
vehicle
to
a
halt
more
quickly
than
the
Brake Assistant
allows.
To
do
this,
quickly
apply
extra
force
to
the
brake. For
a
brief
period,
the
braking
pressure
will
be
higher
than
the
braking
pressure
that
is
achieved by
the
automatic
braking
function.
