A warning lamp appears in the door mirror on
the side in question:
-

ixed , immediately, when being overtaken,
-

f
lashing , after a delay of about one second,
when overtaking a vehicle slowly, and when
the direction indicator is used. This system is designed to improve safety
when driving and is in no circumstances
a substitute for the use of the interior rear
view mirror and door mirrors. It is the
driver's responsibility to constantly check
the traffic, to assess the distances and
relative speeds of other vehicles and to
predict their movements before deciding
whether to change lane.
The alert is given by a warning lamp which
comes on in the door mirror on the side in
question as soon as a vehicle – car, lorry,
bicycle – is detected and the following
conditions are fulfilled:

ll the vehicles must be moving in the same
direction and in adjacent lanes,
-
t
he speed of the vehicle must be between 7
and 87 mph (12 and 140 km/h),
-
y
ou overtake a vehicle with a speed
difference of less than 6 mph (10 km/h),
-
a v
ehicle overtakes you with a speed
difference of less than 15 mph (25 km/h),
-
t
he traffic must be flowing normally,
-
i
n the case of an overtaking manoeuvre,
if this is prolonged and the vehicle being
overtaken returns to the blind spot,
-

y
ou are driving on a straight or slightly
curved road,
-

y
our vehicle is not towing a trailer, a
caravan, etc.
Blind Spot Detection
This driving assistance system warns the driver
of the presence of another vehicle in the blind
spot angle of his vehicle (areas masked from
the driver's field of vision), as soon as this
presents a potential danger. No alert will be given in the following situations:

n the presence of non-moving objects
(parked vehicles, barriers, street lamps,
road signs, etc.),

w
ith vehicles moving in the opposite
direction,

d
riving on a winding road or a sharp corner,

The location of the interior bonnet release
lever prevents opening of the bonnet when
the left-hand front door is shut.
When the engine is hot, handle the
exterior safety catch and the stay with
care (risk of burns), using the protected
area.
When the bonnet is open, take care not to
damage the safety catch.
Do not open the bonnet under very windy
conditions.
The cooling fan may star t after
switching off the engine: take care
with articles and clothing that might be
caught by the fan blades.

and place it in the
support slot to hold

Because of the presence of electrical
equipment under the bonnet, it is
recommended that exposure to water
(rain, washing, etc.) be limited. These engines are examples provided as a

cap may vary.

Advice on care
General recommendations on the care and maintenance of your vehicle are given in the warranty
and maintenance record.Observe the following recommendations to
avoid damaging your vehicle:

o not clean your headlamps with a dry
or abrasive cloth, nor with detergent or
solvent products. Use a sponge and
soapy water or a pH neutral product.

W
hen using a high-pressure washer on
stubborn dirt, avoid prolonged use on the
headlamps, the lamps and their edges to
avoid damaging their lacquer finish and
seals.

N
ever use an abrasive sponge to clean
persistent dirt, as this may scratch the
paint sur face. Use a soft cloth with soapy
water instead.

W
hen washing your vehicle, never clean
the interior with a water jet.

W
hen washing your vehicle in an
automatic roller-brush car wash, be sure
to lock your doors and, depending on
version, remove the key. -

N
ever use high-pressure washing to
clean the engine compartment, in order
to avoid damaging the electrical units.

L
iquids carried in an open vessel (e.g.
a cup or mug) could be spilt, presenting
a risk of damage on contact with the
controls in the dashboard and centre
console. Be careful.
Depending on version, in order to avoid
damaging or unpeeling the stickers on the
bodywork, you are strongly advised against
using high-pressure cleaners to wash your
vehicle. It is recommended that you wash
it using a high-flow water jet and rinse the
vehicle down using demineralised water.
Only a microfibre cloth is recommended for
wiping your vehicle; it must be clean and
used gently.
It is always preferable to have paint repairs carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.

to the interior of the vehicle in the driver's
field of vision, to remind you that a wheel

emove and then store the bottle of sealant.Take care, the sealant product is harmful
if swallowed and causes irritation to the
eyes.
Keep this product out of the reach of
children.
The use-by date of the fluid is marked on
the bottle.
After use, do not discard the bottle in
standard waste, take it to a PEUGEOT
dealer or an authorised waste disposal
site.
Do not forget to obtain a new bottle of
sealant, available from a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
The tyre inflation pressures are given on
this label. F

tart the compressor by turning the switch
to the " l" position until the pressure of the
tyre reaches 2.0 bars. The sealant product
is injected under pressure into the tyre;
do not disconnect the pipe from the valve
during this operation (risk of blowback).
Do not exceed the speed of 50
mph
(80
km/h) when driving with a tyre repaired
using this type of kit.
F Drive immediately for approximately three miles (five kilometres), at reduced speed (between 12 and

mph (20 and 60 km/h)), to plug the puncture.

Access to the battery
The battery is located under the bonnet.
F O pen the bonnet using the interior release
lever, then the exterior safety catch.

ecure the bonnet stay.
For more information on the Bonnet and
the Engine , refer to the corresponding
sections.
Starting using another
battery
When your vehicle's battery is flat, the engine
can be started using a backup battery (external
or from another vehicle) and jump leads or a
battery booster. Never try to start the engine by connecting
a battery charger.
Never use a 24
V or higher battery
b o o s t e r.
First check that the backup battery has
a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity
at least equal to that of the discharged
battery.
The two vehicles must not be in contact
with each other.
Switch off all the electrical consumers
on both vehicles (audio system, wipers,
lighting, etc.).
Make sure that the jump leads are not
close to moving parts of the engine (fan,
belts, etc.).
Do not disconnect the (+) terminal while
the engine is running. F

tart the engine of the vehicle with the
good battery and leave it running for a few
minutes.
F
O
perate the starter on the broken down
vehicle and let the engine run.
If the engine does not start straight away,
switch off the ignition and wait a few moments
before trying again.

ait for it to return to idle.

isconnect the jump lead cables in reverse
order .

A
llow the engine to run for at least
30 minutes, by driving or with the vehicle
stationary, so that the battery reaches an
adequate state of charge.
Some functions, including Stop & Start,
are not available if the battery is not
sufficiently charged.
The battery (-) terminal is not accessible.
A remote earth point is provided at the front of
the vehicle.

flat battery A (at the metal elbow), then to
the (+) terminal of backup battery B or the
