The upper stops may be adjusted if:

here is noise while driving, caused by
excessive free play.
During locking of the partition behind the
row 2 or row 1 seats, an engagement
noise tells you that the upper latches are
closed.
A visible mark and a coloured mark show
you the position of the latches.
The partition must not be moved with the
latches out – Risk of scratches or damage
to the plastic trims!
The partition must never be removed to
convert the vehicle from a commercial
vehicle to a private vehicle.
This would pose a risk to the safety of
users due to the absence of a child lock
on the boot door (obligatory on private
vehicles).Opening/closing the hatch

Positioning the protective
cover
The protective cover must be installed
each time the backrest of the outer seat
is folded down and the partition hatch is
open.
Do not allow any passenger to sit in the
row 1 outer seat if the backrest of the
outer seat behind it in row 2 is folded down
and the hatch is open.
Do not allow any passenger to sit in the
row 2 central seat if the backrest of the
outer seat is folded down and the hatch
is open.
Avoid placing any load on the crossbar of
the hatch threshold. If possible, place the
load on the folded backrests of the seats.

Definitions
Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
and electronic brake force
distribution (EBFD)
These systems improve the stability and
manoeuvrability of your vehicle when braking
and contribute towards improved control in
corners, in particular on poor or slippery road
surfaces.
The ABS prevents wheel lock in the event of
emergency braking.
The electronic brake force distribution system
manages the braking pressure wheel by wheel.
Emergency braking assistance
(EBA)
In an emergency, this system enables you to
reach the optimum braking pressure more
quickly and therefore reduce the stopping
distance.
It is triggered in relation to the speed at which
the brake pedal is pressed. This is felt by a
reduction in the resistance of the pedal and an
increase in braking efficiency.
Anti-slip regulation (ASR)
This system optimises traction in order to
avoid wheel slip by acting on the brakes of
the driving wheels and on the engine. It also
improves the directional stability of the vehicle
on acceleration.
Dynamic stability control (DSC)
If there is a difference between the path
followed by the vehicle and that required by the
driver, this system monitors each wheel and
automatically acts on the brake of one or more
wheels and on the engine to return the vehicle
to the required path, within the limits of the laws
of physics.
Trailer stability assist (TSA)
This system allows control of the vehicle to be
retained when towing a trailer, so as to avoid
the risk of snaking.
Anti-lock braking system

The fixed illumination of this warning
lamp signals that there is a fault with
the ABS.Illumination of this warning lamp,
coupled with the STOP
and ABS
warning lamps, accompanied by
the display of a message and an
audible signal, signals that there is a

distribution (EBFD).
Normal operation of the ABS may make
itself felt by slight vibrations of the brake
pedal.
When braking in an emergency, press
very firmly and maintain this pressure.
When changing wheels (tyres and rims),
ensure that these are approved for your
vehicle.
After an impact, have these systems
checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
The vehicle retains conventional braking. Drive
carefully at moderate speed.

Dynamic stability control
(DSC) and anti-slip
regulation (ASR)
Activation
These systems are activated automatically
every time the vehicle is started.
As soon as they detect a problem of grip or
trajectory, these systems act on the operation
of the engine and brakes.This is indicated by the warning
lamp flashing in the instrument
panel.
Deactivation/Reactivation
In exceptional conditions (moving a vehicle that
is bogged down in mud, stuck in snow, on loose
soil, etc.), it may prove useful to deactivate the
DSC/ASR systems, so that the wheels can
move freely and regain grip.
But it is recommended that the system be
reactivated as soon as possible. These systems are reactivated automatically
every time the ignition is switched off, or from
30
mph (50 km/h).
However, below 30 mph (50 km/h) you can
reactivate them manually.
To deactivate the systems, press
this button or turn the dial to this
position.
The indicator lamp in the button or dial comes
on: the DSC/ASR systems no longer act on the
operation of the engine.
To reactivate the system:

Or Turn the dial to this position.
The indicator lamp in the button or the dial goes off.
Malfunction
Illumination of this warning lamp,
accompanied by the display of a
message and an audible signal,
indicates a fault with the system.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop to have the systems checked. ASR/DSC
These systems offer increased safety
in normal driving, but they should not
encourage the driver to take extra risks or
drive at high speed.
It is in conditions of reduced grip (rain,
snow, black ice) that the risk of loss of grip
increases. It is therefore important for your
safety to keep these systems activated in
all conditions, and particularly in difficult
conditions.
The correct operation of these
systems depends on obser vation of
the manufacturer's recommendations
regarding as much the wheels (tyres and
rims), braking and electronic components
as the assembly and repair procedures
used by PEUGEOT dealers.
The use of snow tyres is recommended,
in order to be able to benefit from the
efficiency of these systems in winter
conditions.
In this case, it is essential to equip the
four wheels with tyres approved for your
vehicle.

Automatic electronic
parking brake
This system does not require any
routine servicing. However, in case
of an issue, do not hesitate to have
the system checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.

electronic parking brake , refer to the

Wheels and tyres
The pressure must be checked on
all tyres, including the spare wheel,
when the tyres are "cold", at least
once a month and before a long
j o u r n ey. Driving with worn or damaged tyres reduces
braking efficiency and control of the vehicle's
steering. Regular inspections of the condition
of tyres (tread and sides) and rims are
recommended as well as making sure that
valves are fitted.
Using different size wheels and tyres from
those specified can affect the lifetime of tyres,
wheel rotation, ground clearance and the
speedometer reading and have an adverse
effect on road holding.
Fitting different tyres on the front and rear axles
can cause unwanted ESC regulation.
The pressures given on the tyre pressure label
are valid for "cold" tyres. If you have driven for
more than 10 minutes or more than 6 miles
(10
kilometres) at more than 31 mph (50 km/h),
0.3
bar (30 kPa) should be added to the values
given on the label.
Under-inflation increases fuel consumption.
Non-compliant tyre pressure causes premature
wear on tyres and has an adverse effect on the
vehicle's road holding – Risk of an accident! Only use products recommended by
PEUGEOT or products of equivalent
quality and specification.
In order to optimise the operation of
components as important as those in the
braking system, PEUGEOT selects and
offers very specific products.
After washing the vehicle, dampness, or
in wintry conditions, ice can form on the
brake discs and pads: braking efficiency
may be reduced. Make light brake
applications to dry and defrost the brakes.
AdBlue® (BlueHDi)
To respect the environment and ensure
compliance with the Euro 6 standard, without
adversely affecting the per formance or fuel
consumption of Diesel engines, PEUGEOT
has taken the decision to equip its vehicles
with a system that associates SCR (Selective
Catalytic Reduction) with a Diesel particle filter
(DPF) for the treatment of exhaust gases.
SCR system
Using a liquid called AdBlue® that contains
urea, a catalytic converter turns up to 85% of
the nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen and
water, which are harmless to health and the
environment.
The AdBlue
® is contained in
a special tank holding about
17
litres.
Its capacity allows a driving range of
approximately 5,600
miles (9,000 km), highly
dependent on your driving style.
An alert system is triggered automatically once
the reser ve level is reached: you can then drive
for a further 1,500
miles (2,400 km) before the
tank is empty.
