If EBD or ABS is malfunctioning, the wheels could lock when braking
The steering capability and braking characteristics are thus se verely
impaired. The braking dis tance in an emergency braking situation

Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
Otherwise: #
Leavetheve hicle and keep a safe dis tance from theve hicle until the
engine has cooled down. #
Check the coolant le vel(/ page 206). #
Ensure that the air supply tothe engine radiator is not obstructed. #
Without subjecting the engine toexc essive stra in, continue tothe
nea rest qu alified specialist workshop. Ensure that the coolant tem‐
perature display remains below 248 °F (120 °C).
