Press button 1.
The wind deflector between the windshield
and the soft top will extend. #
Light soiling: clean wind deflector net 1
with a soft brush or a damp clo th. #
Heavier soiling: clean wind deflector net 1
with care products and cleaning agents rec‐
ommended and appr ovedfo r Mercedes-Benz. #
Subse quently, rinse wi thclean water.
Cleaning the wind screen
Re quirements:
R The soft top is open.
R The elect ric pa rking brake is applied.
R The ignition is switched on. #

WARNING Risk of entrapment if the
windshield wipers are swit ched on while
th e windshield is being cleaned
If th e windshield wipers are set in motion
while you are cleaning the windshield or
wiper blades, you can be trapped bythe
wiper arm. #
Alw ays switch off the windshield wipers
and the ignition before cleaning the
windshield or wiper blades. &
WARNING Risk of bu rning from theta il‐
pipe or tailpipe trim
The tailpipe and tailpipe trim can become
ve ry hot. If you come into contact with these
car parts, you could burn yourself. #
Alw ays be particular lycareful when in
th e vicinity of theta ilpipe and tailpipe
trims and supervise children very
closely when in this area. #
Before any con tact, allow the car parts
to cool down. 352

Wheels/rims Usewate r and acid-free wheel cleaners. R
Do not use acidic wheel cleaners toremo vebrake dust.
This could damage wheel bolts and brake components.
R Toavoid cor rosion of the brake discs and brakepads, drive
th eve hicle for a few minutes af ter cleaning before parking
it. The brake discs and brakepads warm up and dry out.
Wi ndo ws
Cleanthe windo wsonthe inside and outside using a damp
clo thand cleaning agents recommended byMercedes-Benz. Do not use dry clo
ths or abrasive or sol vent-based cleaning
agents toclean the inside of windo ws.
Wi per blades
Fold out the wiper blades and clean them using a damp clo th.D o not clean the wiper blades too of ten.
Ex terior lighting
Cleanthe lenses with a wet sponge and mild cleaning agent,
e.g. car sha mpoo. Only use cleaning agents or cleaning clo
thsth at are suitable
fo r plast ic lenses.
Sensors Cleanthe sensors in the front and rear bumper and in the
ra diator grill with a soft clo thand car shampoo. When using a po
werwa sher, maintain a minimum dis tance of
11 .8 in (30 cm).
Re ar view camera
and 360° Camera R
Open the camera co ver with the multimedia sy stem
(→ page 190).
R Use clean water and a soft clo thtoclean the camera lens. Do not use a po
werwa sher.
Ta ilpipes
Clean with cleaning agents recommended byMercedes-Benz,

Ca reand cleaning products con taining sol‐
ve nts can cause su rfaces in the cockpit to
become porous. When
the airbags are deplo yed, plastic parts
may break away. #
Do not use any care or cleaning prod‐
ucts containing sol vents toclean the

bleached seat belts
Bleaching or dyeing seat belts can se verely
we aken them.
This can, forex ample, cause seat belts to
te ar or fail in an accident. #
Never blea chor dye seat belts. Obser

Do not use chemical cleaning agents.

able display care product (TFT/LCD). R
Swit choff the display and let it cool down.
R Do not use any other cleaning products.
Plastic trim R
Clean with a damp microfiber clo th.

Do not attach sticke rs,fi lms or similar materials.
R Do not allow cosmetics, insect repellent or sun cream to

emer gency spa rewheel or spare wheel.

theeve nt of a flat tire, thefo llowing options
are available depending on your vehicle's equip‐
ment:
R Vehicles with MOExtended tires: it is pos‐
sible tocontinue the journey for a short
period of time. Make sure you obse rvethe
no tes on MOExtended tires (run-flat tire)
(→ page 357).
R Vehicles with a TIREFIT kit: you can repair
th e tires so that it is possible tocontinue the
jou rney for a short period of time. Todo this,
use the TIREFIT kit (→ page 358).
R Vehicles with Mercedes me connect: you
can make a call forRo adside Assis tance via
th eove rhead control panel in the case of a
breakdown (→ page 302).
R Allvehicles: change the wheel
(→ page 400). Note
s on MOExtended tires (run-flat tire) &
WARNING Risk of accident when driving
in eme rgency mode
When driving in emer gency mode, the han‐
dling characteristics are impaired. e.g. when
cornering, when accelerating stronglyand
when braking. #
Do not exceed the permissible maxi‐
mum speed for MOExtended tires. #
Avoid any abrupt steering and driving
maneuvers as well as driving over
obs tacles (curbs, pot holes, off-road).
This applies, in pa rticular, toa loaded
ve hicle. #
Stop driving in the emer gency mode if
yo u notice:
R banging noise
R vehicle vibration
R smoke which smells like rubber
R continuous ESP ®

R crac ksin tire side walls #
After driving in emergency mode ha ve
th erims checkedby aqu alified special‐
ist workshop with rega rd totheir fur ther
use. #
The defective tire must be replaced in
eve rycase. Wi
th MOExtended tires (run-flat tire), you can
continue todrive your vehicle even if there is a
tot al loss of pressure in one or more tires. How‐
eve r,th e tire af fected must not show any clearly
visible damage.
Yo u can recognize MOExtended tires bythe
MOExtended marking which appears onthe side
wa ll of the tire.
Ve hicles with tire pressure monitoring sys‐
te m: MOExtended tires may only be used in con‐
junction wi than activated tire pressure monitor‐
ing sy stem.
If a pressure loss warning message appears in
th e multifunction displa y,proceed as follo ws:
R Check the tire for dama ge.

If a tire has gone flat and cannot be replaced
with an MOEx tended tire, you can use a stand‐
ard tire as a temp orary measure. TIREFIT kit
storage location The TIREFIT kit is located under
the trunk floor.

Yo u can use TIREFIT tire sealant toseal per fora‐
tion dama geof up to0.16 in (4 mm), particularly
th ose in the tire conta ct surface. You can use TIREFIT in outside
temp eratures down to-4 °F
(-20 °C). &
WARNING Risk of accident when using
tire sealant.
In thefo llowing situations, the tire sealant is
unable toprov ide suf ficient breakdown assis‐
ta nce, as it is unable toseal the tire proper ly:
R There are cuts or punctures in the tire
lar gerth an those pr eviously mentioned.
R The wheel rim is dama ged.
R You ha vedriven at a very low tire pres‐
sure or on a flat tire. #
Do not continue driving. #
Consult a qualified specialist workshop. &

from tire sealant
The tire sealant is harmful and causes ir rita‐
tion. Do not allow it tocome into contact
