“ ” appears for one second when the
voltage display mode is first selected, and
then “ ” appears and the battery voltage is
displayed.
If the battery voltage is less than 10 volts,
“LO” is displayed, and if the voltage is above
16 volts, “HI” is displayed.
NOTICEECB02050If the voltage display indicates “LO” or
“HI”, there may be trouble with the battery
charging circuit or the battery may be
faulty. If this occurs, have a Yamaha dealer
check or repair the vehicle. Fuel gauge

To charge the battery
Remove it from vehicle and confirm the rec-
ommended charging rate as specified on
the battery itself.
Select a suitable charger and follow the
manufacturer’s instructions, or have a
Yamaha dealer charge it for you.

NOTICEECB00933To charge a VRLA (valve-regulated lead-
acid) battery, a special battery charger is
required. Using a conventional battery
charger will damage the battery. To store the battery
If the vehicle will not be used for more than
one month, remove the battery, fully charge
it, and then place it in a cool, dry place.
If the battery will be stored for more than
