The rearview camera will activate when
the back-up light is ON with the ignition switch ON and the shift lever in the R
(Reverse) position.
This system is a supplemental system
that shows behind the vehicle through the navigation display while backing-
up.
WARNING
•This system is a supplementaryfunction only. It is the responsibili‐ty of the driver to always checkthe inside/outside rearview mirrorand the area behind the vehiclebefore and while backing up be‐cause there is a dead zone thatcan't be seen through the camera.
•Always keep the camera lensclean. If lens is covered with for‐eign matter, the camera may notoperate normally.

•Do not place objects on the dash‐board that reflects light such asmirrors, white paper, etc. The sys‐tem may malfunction if sunlight isreflected.

the trunk (tailgate) is opened.

Glove box lamp (if equipped)
The glove box lamp comes on when the
glove box is opened.
CAUTION
To prevent unnecessary chargingsystem drain, close the glove box se‐curely after using the glove box.

WINDSHIELD DEFROSTING AND DEFOGGING
WARNING
nWindshield heating
Do not use the or positionduring cooling operation in extreme‐ly humid weather. The difference be‐tween the temperature of the out‐side air and that of the windshieldcould cause the outer surface of thewindshield to fog up, causing loss ofvisibility. In this case, set the modeselection knob or button to the position and fan speed control knobor button to the lower speed.
• For maximum defrosting, set thetemperature control to the extreme
right/hot position and the fan speed control to the highest speed.
• If warm air to the floor is desired while defrosting or defogging, set the
mode to the floor-defrost position.
• Before driving, clear all snow and ice from the windshield, rear window,
outside rear view mirrors, and all side windows. • Clear all snow and ice from the hood
and air inlet in the cowl grill to im‐
prove heater and defroster efficiency
and to reduce the probability of fog‐
ging up the inside of the windshield.
Manual climate control system
To defog inside windshield
1. Select any fan speed except L

CAUTION
Do not keep food in the glove box fora long time.
Sunglass holder (if equipped)
To open the sunglass holder, press the
cover and the holder will slowly open. Place your sunglasses with the lenses
facing out. To close the sunglass holder,
push it up.
WARNING
•Do not keep objects except sun‐glasses inside the sunglass holder.Such objects can be thrown fromthe holder in the event of a suddenstop or an accident, possibly injur‐ing the passengers in the vehicle.
•Do not open the sunglass holderwhile the vehicle is moving. Therear view mirror of the vehicle canbe blocked by an opened sunglassholder.
•Do not put the glasses forcibly intoa sunglass holder to preventbreakage or deformation of theglasses. It may cause personal in‐jury if you try to open it forciblywhen the glasses are jammed inthe holder.
Luggage net holder (if equipped)
To keep items from shifting in the car‐
go area, you can use the 4 holders loca‐ ted in the cargo area to attach the lug‐
gage net.
If necessary, Kia recommends to con‐
tact an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the goods orthe vehicle, care should be takenwhen carrying fragile or bulky ob‐jects in the luggage compartment.

Sunvisor

Use the sunvisor to shield direct light
through the front or side windows.
To use the sunvisor, pull it downward.
To use the sunvisor for the side win‐ dow, pull it downward, unsnap it from
the bracket (1) and swing it to the side
(2).
To use the vanity mirror, pull down the visor and slide the mirror cover (3).
The ticket holder (4) is provided for
holding a tollgate ticket. (if equipped)
WARNING
For your safety, do not obstructyour vision when using the sunvisor.
Seat warmer (if equipped)

The seat warmer is provided to warm
the front seats during cold weather. With the ignition switch in the ON posi‐
tion, push either of the switches to
warm the driver's seat or the front passenger's seat.
During mild weather or under condi‐
tions where the operation of the seat

BEFORE DRIVING
Before entering vehicle
• Be sure that all windows, outsidemirror(s), and outside lights are clean.
• Check the condition of the tires.
• Check under the vehicle for any sign of leaks.
• Be sure there are no obstacles behind you if you intend to back up.
Necessary inspections
Fluid levels, such as engine oil, engine
coolant, brake fluid, and washer fluid should be checked on a regular basis,
with the exact interval depending on
