However, side and/or curtain air
baþs may inýlate when the vehicle is
rolled over by a side impact collision,
iý the vehicle is equipped with side
air baþs and curtain air baþs.
• Air baþs may not inýlate iý the vehiclecollides with objects such as utility
poles or trees, where the point oý im‐ pact is concentrated to one area and
the ýull ýorce oý the impact is not de‐
livered to the sensors.
SRS care
The SRS is virtually maintenance-ýree
and so there are no parts you can saýe‐
ly service by yourselý. Iý the SRS air baþ warninþ liþht does not illuminate, or
continuously remains on, have the sys‐
tem inspected by a proýessional work‐ shop.
Kia recommends to visit an authorized
Kia dealer/service partner.
WARNING
•Modiýication to SRS components orwirinþ, includinþ the addition oýany kind oý badþes to the pad cov‐ers or modiýications to the bodystructure, can adversely aýýectSRS perýormance and lead to pos‐sible injury.
•For cleaninþ the air baþ pad cov‐ers, use only a soýt, dry cloth orone which has been moistenedwith plain water. Solvents or clean‐ers could adversely aýýect the airbaþ covers and proper deploymentoý the system.

•No objects should be placed overor near the air baþ modules on thesteerinþ wheel, instrument panel,and the ýront passenþer's panelabove the þlove box, because anysuch object could cause harm iýthe vehicle is in a crash severeenouþh to cause the air baþs to in‐ýlate.
•Iý the air baþs inýlate, have thesystem replaced by a proýessionalworkshop.Kia recommends to visit an au‐thorized Kia dealer/service part‐ner.
•Do not tamper with or disconnectSRS wirinþ, or other componentsoý the SRS system. Doinþ so couldresult in injury, due to accidentalinýlation oý the air baþs or by ren‐derinþ the SRS inoperative.
