Front fog light
1. Turn the front fog lamp on without the driver aboard.
2. The cut-off line should be projected in the allowable range (shaded region).
A : Vertical line of the left fog lamp bulb centre
B : Vertical line of the right fog lamp bulb centre
C : Horizontal line of fog lamp (low) bulb centre
D : Cut – Off line
E : Car Axis
F : Upper limit
G : Ground

Side repeater light bulb replacement
If the light bulb does not operate,
have your vehicle checked by a pro-
fessional workshop. Kia recom-
mends to visit an authorised Kia

Outside light
❈ The actual rear combination lamp shape
in the vehicle may differ from illustration.
Rear turn signal light and stop/tail light
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Open the tailgate.
3. Loosen the light assembly retain- ing screws with a cross-tip screw-
driver.
4. Remove the rear combination light assembly from the body of the
vehicle. 5. Remove the socket from the
assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the socket align with the slots on
the assembly.
6. Remove the bulb from the socket by pressing it in and rotating it
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the bulb align with the slots in the
socket. Pull the bulb out of the
socket.
7. Insert a new bulb by inserting it into the socket and rotating it until
it locks into place. 8. Install the socket in the assembly
by aligning the tabs on the socket
with the slots in the assembly.
Push the socket into the assembly
and turn the socket clockwise.
9. Reinstall the light assembly to the body of the vehicle.
Stop and tail light or tail light
(LED type)
If the light bulb does not operate,
have your vehicle checked by a pro-
fessional workshop. Kia recom-
mends to visit an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner.

Inside light
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Open the tailgate.
3. Remove the service cover using aflat-blade screwdriver. Tail light/Back-up light (Bulb type)
4. Remove the socket from the
assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the socket align with the slots on
the assembly.
5. Remove the bulb from the socket by pressing it in and rotating it counter-
clockwise until the tabs on the bulb
align with the slots in the socket.
Pull the bulb out of the socket.
(Back-up lamp : Remove the bulb
from the socket by pulling it out) 6. Insert a new bulb by inserting it
into the socket and rotating it until
it locks into place.
7. Install the socket in the assembly by aligning the tabs on the socket
with the slots in the assembly.
Push the socket into the assembly
and turn the socket clockwise.
8. Install the service cover by putting it into the service hole.

1. Remove the socket from the
assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise until the tabs on
the socket align with the slots on
the assembly.
2. Pull the bulb out of the socket.
3. Insert a new bulb into the socket.
4. Install the socket into the assem- bly by aligning the tabs on the
socket with the slots on the
assembly and turning the socket
clockwise.
5. Reinstall the light assembly to the body of the vehicle. Tail light or stop and tail light
(LED type)

License plate light bulb replacement
1. Remove the lens retaining screwswith a philips head screwdriver.
2. Remove the socket from the assembly by turning the socket
counterclockwise.
3. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.
4. Install the socket into the assembly by aligning the tabs on the socket
with the slots on the assembly and
turning the socket clockwise.
5. Install a new bulb.
6. Reinstall the lens securely with the lens retaining screws.

Interior light bulb replacement
Map lamp, Vanity mirror lamp,
Room lamp, Luggage room lamp, Foot lamp
1. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry the lens from the interi- or light housing.
2. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out. 3. Install a new bulb in the socket.
4. Align the lens tabs with the interior
light housing notches and snap
the lens into place.
WARNING
Prior to working on the interior
lights, ensure that the light is off
to avoid burning your fingers or
receiving an electric shock.
CAUTION
Be careful not to dirt or damage lens, lens tab, and plastic hous-ings.

Exterior general caution
It is very important to follow the label
directions when using any chemical
cleaner or polish. Read all warningand caution statements that appearon the label.
Finish maintenance
Washing
To help protect your vehicle’s finish
from rust and deterioration, wash itthoroughly and frequently at least
once a month with lukewarm or cold
water.
If you use your vehicle for off-road
driving, you should wash it after each
off-road trip. Pay special attention to
the removal of any accumulation of
salt, dirt, mud, and other foreign
materials. Ensure drain holes in the
lower edges of the doors and rocker
panels are kept clean.
Insects, tar, tree sap, bird droppings,
industrial pollution and similar
deposits can damage your vehicle’s
finish if not removed immediately.
Even prompt washing with plain
water may not completely remove all
these deposits.
A mild soap, safe for use on painted
surfaces, may be used.
After washing, rinse the vehicle thor-
oughly with lukewarm or cold water.
Do not allow soap to dry on the finish.
WARNING - Wet brakes
After washing the vehicle, test
the brakes whilst driving slowly
to see if they have been affected
by water. If braking performance
is impaired, dry the brakes by
applying them lightly whilst
maintaining a slow forwardspeed.
CAUTION
Do not use strong soap, chem- ical detergents or hot water,and do not wash the vehicle in direct sunlight or when thebody of the vehicle is warm.
Be careful when washing the side windows of your vehicle.Especially, with high-pressure water, water may leak throughthe windows and wet the inte-rior.
To prevent damage to the plastic parts and lamps, donot clean with chemical sol-vents or strong detergents.
