Auto Door Locking/Unlocking
Your vehicle locks and unlocks all door s and the tailgate automatically when a
certain condition is met.
■Drive lock mode
All doors and the tailgate lock when the vehicle’s speed reaches about 10 mph (15
km/h).
■Driver’s door open mode
All doors and the tailgate unlock when the driver’s door is opened.

Opening/Closing the Power Tailgate*
With the remote on you, you can open or
close the tailgate hands free by raising and
lowering your foot (in a kicking motion) under
the center of the rear bumper.
u Some exterior lights flash twice and a
beeper sounds once, then the tailgate
begins to move.

During heavy rain or in other instances when the
vehicle becomes very wet, the sensor may not
properly detect your foot motion.
When performing work on or around the rear section
of the vehicle, you may in advertently open or close
the tailgate.
To prevent this from happening, select Power
Tailgate Setup on the audio/information screen and

Brightness Control
When the power mode is in ON, you can use
the brightness control knob to adjust
instrument panel brightness.
Brighten: Turn the knob to the right.
Dim: Turn the knob to the left.
You will hear a beeper when the brightness
reaches minimum or maximum. Several
seconds after you have adjusted the
brightness, you will be returned to the
previous screen.
■Brightness level indicator
The brightness level is shown on the driver
information interface wh ile you are adjusting
it.
1 Brightness Control
Instrument panel brightne ss varies, depending on
whether the exterior lights are on or off. The
instrument panel dims to reduce glare when they are
on.
To cancel the reduced in strument panel brightness
when the exterior lights are on, turn the knob to the
right until the brightness display is up to max, the
beeper sounds.
The brightness can be set differently for when the
exterior lights are on, and when they are off.

Driving Position Memory System*
You can store two driver’s seat positions (except for power lumbar) and outside
mirror positions with the driv ing position memory system.
When you unlock and open the driver’s door with a remote, the seat and outside
mirrors adjust automatically to one of the two preset positions.
When you enter the vehicle, the driver information interface briefly shows you which
remote transmitter you used to unlock the vehicle.
• DRIVER 1 transmitter is linked to memory button 1.
• DRIVER 2 transmitter is linked to memory button 2.
The driver’s seat moves rearward depending
on the set seating position once you

• Put the transmission in

• Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF.
• Then open the driver’s door.
Once the power mode is in the ACCESSORY
position, the driver’s seat moves to the
DRIVER 1 or 2 preset position.

System Operation
The system will not operate if:
•The vehicle speed is above 2 mph (3 km/h).
•Either memory position button is pressed while the
seat is in motion.
•The seat position is adju sted while in operation.
•The memory 1 or 2 position is set fully to the rear.

To use the wireless charger, the power mode must be in ACCESSORY or ON.
Charge a compatible device on the ar ea indicated by the and marks as
follows: 1.Place the device you want to charge on the
charging area.
u The system will automatically start
charging the device, and the green
indicator light will come on.
u Make sure that the device is compatible
with the system and placed with the
chargeable side in the center of the
charging area.
2. When charging is completed, the green
indicator light will go off.
u If the device is not located on the charge
area correctly, the green indicator light
will blink.

Using the audio/informati on screen, you can disable
the wireless ch arger function.

This system consumes a lot of power. Do not use the system
for a long time when the engine is not running. This may
weaken the battery, making it difficult to start the engine.
When using the wireless charger, check the user’s manual
that came with the compatible device you want to charge.
3CAUTION
Metal objects between the charge pad
and the device to be charged will get
hot and can burn you.
•Always remove foreign objects from
the charge pad before charging the
device.
• Be sure the surface is clear of dust and
other debris before charging.
• Do not spill liquids (i. e. water, drinks,
etc.) on the charger and the device.
• Do not use oil, grease, alcohol,
benzine or thinner for cleaning the
charge pad.
• Do not cover the system with towels,
clothing, or other objects while
charging etc.
• Avoid spraying aerosols which may
come in contact with the charge pad
surface.

Climate Control System
Using Automatic Climate Control
The automatic climate control system maintains the interior temperature you select.
The system also selects the proper mix of heated or cooled air that raises or lowers
the interior temperature to your pr eference as quickly as possible.
Use the system when the engine is running.
1. Press the AUTO button.
2. Adjust the interior temperature using the dr iver’s side or passenger’s side control
switch.
3. Press the butto n to cancel.
Tri-zone climate control system
1Using Automatic Climate Control
Press the FRONT CLIMATE button to display A/C,
MODE, fan control information on the audio/
information screen for several seconds. Select icon to
turn on or off A/C, change the vent mode, or change
the fan speed.
During idle-stops, air-conditioning is suspended, and
only the blower remains ac tive. If you do not want
air-conditioning suspended, press to cancel idle-
stop.
If any buttons are presse d while using the climate
control system in auto, the function of the button
that was pressed will take priority.
The AUTO indicator will go off, but functions
unrelated to the button that were pressed will be
controlled automatically.
To prevent cold air from bl owing in from outside, the
fan may not start i mmediately when the AUTO
button is pressed.
If the interior is very warm, you can cool it down
more rapidly by partial ly opening the windows,
turning the system on AUTO, and setting the
temperature to low. Change the fresh mode to
recirculation mode until the temperature cools down.
When you set the temperat ure to the lower or upper
limit, Lo or Hi is displayed.

Rear Climate Control System
Use the system when the engine is running.
1. Press the REAR CLIMATE button.
2. Press the REAR CLIMATE button to display AUTO, MO DE, temperature control,
and fan control information on the audio/information screen for several seconds.
3. Select the AUTO icon.
u The rear system changes to AUTO mode.
u The system automatically adjusts the fan speed and airfl ow levels to maintain
the set rear temperature. Change the temperature if necessary.
u To turn off the rear climat e control system, select the ON/OFF icon.
■Using the Rear Climate Control System From the Front Panel1Rear Climate Control System
LOCK appears on the rear control panel while the
rear lock is on.
If the rear lock is on while in SYNC mode, the rear
control panel is disabled. LOCK SYNC appears on the
rear control panel.

Select the LOCK icon to turn the rear lock mode on
and off.
While the rear lock mode is on, the rear control panel
is disabled.
u The color of LOCK icon on the audio/information
screen changes from grey to blue.
