Connected services that can be
accessed on the vehicle
The Uconnect™ LIVE services
available in the radio menu can change
according to the market.
The eco:Drive™ and my:Car
applications were developed to
improve the customer’s driving
experience, therefore they are available
in all markets, where the Uconnect™
LIVE services can be accessed.
For further information visit the
www.DriveUconnect.eu website.
If the navigation system is installed in
the radio, accessing the Uconnect™
LIVE services enables use of the
TomTom LIVE services. Further
information about the LIVE functions is
available in the dedicated chapter.
eco:Drive™
The eco:Drive™ application allows you
to display your driving behaviour in real
time, in order to help you reach a more
efficient driving style as far as
consumption and emissions are
concerned. In addition, the data can be saved on a
USB flash drive, and the data analysis
can be made on your personal
computer thanks to the eco:Drive™
desktop application, available on
www.fiat.it or www.DriveUconnect.eu.
Driving style is evaluated by means of
four indices which monitor the
following parameters:
❒ Acceleration
❒ Deceleration
❒ Shifting
❒ Speed
eco:Drive™ display
Press the eco:Drive™ button to
interact with the function.
A screen will be displayed on the radio,
showing the 4 indices described
above. These indices are grey until the
system has enough data to evaluate
the driving style.
Once sufficient data are available, the
indices will have 5 colours depending
on the evaluation: dark green (very
good), light green, yellow, orange and
red (very bad).“Current trip index” refers to the entire
value calculated in real time based on
the average of the described indices.
It represents eco-friendliness of the
driving style: from 0 (low) to 100 (high).
In the event of extended inactivity the
display will show the average of the
indices up to that moment (”Average
index”) then the indices will be
coloured again in real time as soon as
the vehicle is restarted.
To check the data average of previous
trip (a “trip” is a cycle starting from
when the ignition key is turned on until
it is turned off), select the “Previous
Trip” button (fig. 4).
The details of the previous trip can also
be displayed by pressing the “Details”
button, in which duration (time and
mileage) and average speed will be
shown.

STARTING AND DRIVING
Versions with Dualogic gearbox
The system allows the engine to be
started both with a gear engaged and
with the gearbox in neutral (N).
However, the brake pedal must always
be pressed first if neutral is not
engaged. It is therefore advisable to
position the gear lever at N before
starting the engine.

❒ if the vehicle speed is in the range
30 to 130 km/h, turn the ring B
upwards or downwards.

current speed set as the speed limit.
Device activation is indicated by the
symbol being shown on the display
along with the last speed limit set.
Deactivating the device:
press the CANC/RES A button fig. 92.
Device deactivation is indicated by the
set being replaced by the word CANC.
Reactivating the device:
❒ press and release the
A button (CANC/RES) fig. 92 or
❒ if the vehicle speed is in the range
30 to 130 km/h, turn the ring B
upwards or downwards.
EXCEEDING THE
PROGRAMMED SPEED
By pressing the accelerator pedal fully,
the programmed speed can be
exceeded even with the device active
(e.g. when overtaking).
The device is disabled until the speed
drops below the set limit, after which it
reactivates automatically.
FLASHING OF
PROGRAMMED SPEED
The programmed speed flashes in the
following cases:
❒ when the accelerator pedal has
been pressed fully and the vehicle
has exceeded the programmed
speed;
❒ activating the system after setting a
limit below the effective vehicle
speed (with acoustic warning);
❒ when the device cannot reduce the
vehicle speed due to the gradient of
the road (with acoustic warning);
❒ in the event of an abrupt
acceleration.
DISABLING THE DEVICE
To disable the device, turn the ring C
fig. 92 to the 0 position.
Automatic device disable
The device is disabled automatically in
the event of fault in the system. In this
case, contact a Fiat Dealership.
AUTOMATIC RESET OF
THE PROGRAMMED
SPEED
With the Speed Limiter enabled,
pressing the CANC/RES button A fig.
92 at a higher speed than the set value,
the engine torque will be reduced as
required to reach that value, if it was
not reached within 20 seconds from
pressing the button.

SETTING THE
DESIRED SPEED
Proceed as follows:
❒ activate the device by turning the
ring C fig. 95 downwards.
❒ when the vehicle has reached the
desired speed, turn the ring B fig. 95
upwards (or downwards) and release it
to activate the device. When the
accelerator is released, the vehicle will
automatically maintain the selected
speed.
If needed (e.g. when overtaking), you
can increase speed simply by pressing
the accelerator; when you release the
pedal, the vehicle goes back to the
speed stored previously.
When travelling downhill with the device
active, the vehicle speed may slightly
exceed the set one.
WARNING Before turning the ring B
upwards or downwards, the vehicle
must travel at a constant speed on
level ground.
INCREASING THE SPEED
Once the electronic Cruise Control has
been activated, the speed can be
increased by turning the ring B
upwards.
DECREASING SPEED
To decrease the speed with the device
activated, turn the ring B downwards.

For versions with Dualogic transmission
operating in D (Drive - automatic)
mode, press and release the
CANC/RES A button (fig. 95).
For versions with manual or Dualogic
transmission in sequential mode,
before recalling the previously set
speed you should accelerate to get
close to it, then press and release the
CANC/RES A button.
DEACTIVATING
THE DEVICE
Lightly pressing the brake pedal or
pressing the CANC button deactivates
the electronic Cruise Control without
deleting the stored speed.

JUMP STARTING
26) 13)
If the battery is flat, the engine may be
started using an auxiliary battery with
the same capacity or a little higher than
the flat one.
IMPORTANT After turning the ignition
key to STOP and having closed the
driver’s side door, wait at least one
minute before disconnecting the
battery and then reconnecting the
electrical supply to the battery.
Proceed as follows:
Engage the handbrake on both
vehicles and place the gearbox
in neutral. Connect the positive
terminals (+mark near the terminal) of
the two batteries using a suitable lead.
With a second cable, connect
the negative terminal –of the auxiliary
battery to an earthing point E
on the
engine or the transmission of the car to
be started. Start the engine. When the
engine has been started, remove the
leads reversing the order above. If after
a few attempts the engine does not
start, do not persist but contact a Fiat
Dealership. IMPORTANT Do not directly connect
the negative terminals of the two
batteries: sparks could ignite explosive
gas released from the battery.
If the auxiliary battery is installed on
another car, prevent accidental contact
between metallic parts of the two cars.
For versions with Start&Stop
In the case of emergency starting,
NEVER connect the negative lead (–) of
the auxiliary battery to negative pole (–)
of the battery, but only to an earth
point on the engine/gearbox assembly.
