to p switch &
WARNING Risk of becoming trapped

If yo u do not fully open/close the soft top,
th e soft-to phy draulics depressurise af ter a
short time.
This causes the soft topto lowe r unexpect‐
edly and may cause you or others tobe trap‐
ped. #
Alw ays fully open or close the soft top. &
WARNING Risk of becoming trapped
when opening/closing the soft top .
When opening or closing the soft top, there
is a risk that parts of the body could become
trapped bymoving parts such as thero of
mechanism, the boot lid, or the side win‐
do ws. #
When opening or closing, make sure
that no body parts are in the vicinity of
moving components. #
Release the button if somebody
becomes trapped. *

Only load the boot below the boot sepa‐
ra tor so that it will not be pushed

opening or closing the soft top when theve hicle
is stationar y.
Do not exceed a speed of maximum 50 km/h
when driving (max. 60 km/h toavoid inter rupt‐
ing the closing process while slightly exceeding
th is speed). #
Make sure that the boot separator is closed. #
Close the boot lid. #
Switch the ignition on. #
Keep the brake pedal depressed when the
ve hicle is stationar y. 78

until the soft top is fully opened.
The multifunction display sho wsthe opening

Toclose: press and hold soft- top switch 1
until the soft top is fully closed.

WARNING Risk of accident due to too
high speed during the soft-to p opening
or closing procedure
If th eve hicle speed exceeds 60 km/h the
soft topstops during the opening or closing
procedure.
This impairs your view tothere ar. #
Reduce theve hicle speed tobelow
60 km/h or stop theve hicle, paying
attention toroad and traf fic conditions. #
Ope rate the soft-to p switch again in
order toopen or close the soft top full y. The cur
rent procedu reisstopped at a speed
abo ve60 km/h. The Open/close top completely
messa geis shown on the multifunction displa y. #
Reduce your speed and press or pull soft- top
switch 1again.
If th e soft top does not close fully because of
stro ng headwinds, drive sl ower or stop. Re

Fully close the soft top using the soft-top

the boot sepa rator The boot separator co
vers luggage or loads in
th e boot.
Depending on the equipment, theve hicle may be
equipped with a manual or automatic boot sepa‐
ra tor.
The soft top can be opened only when the man‐
ual boot separator is closed.
In vehicles with an automatic boot separator,
th is automatically closes when the soft top is
opened.

Do not place any overly long objects
inside or behind the side luggage nets
when the boot separator is open. #
Make sure that the load does not push
th e boot separator upwards. #
Vehicles with a manual boot separator: to
open, press boot separator 2bythe handle
against the direction of the ar row toits upper
end position. #
Vehicles with a manual boot separator: to
close, pull boot separator 2bythe handle in
the direction of the ar row until it rests on
th e sides of the boot. #
Vehicles with an automatic boot separa‐
to r:press but ton1.
Boot separator 2opens or closes au tomati‐
cally.
% Ifth ere is sy stem failure, the automatic boot
separator can be closed manually. Ac
tivating/deactivating AI RCAP AI
RCA Pre duces the draught in the front and
re ar compartment when driving with the soft top
open.
In particular lyturbulent ai r,e.g. crosswind, AIR‐
CA P's ef fect may be reduced.
AIR CAP consists of:
R a wind deflector abo vethe windscreen
R a draught stop behind bo threar seat head
re stra ints
When AI RCAP is activated, the wind deflector
and the draught stop extend simultaneously. 80

CAP can be activated or deactivated at
speeds of up toappr oximately 160 km/h. &

when retracting AIR CAP
When retracting AIR CAP,persons could
become trapped in the moving mechanism. #
Make sure that persons do not hold
on to the upper frame of the windscreen
and do not touch the AIR CAP wind
deflector. #
Switch the ignition on. #
Toactivate: pull switch 1.
AIR CAPex tends and the indicator lamp in
switch 1lights up. #
Todeactivate: press switch 1.
AIR CAPre tracts and the indicator lamp in
switch 1goes out. If
th eve hicle is par ked with the soft top open
and the po wer supp lyis switched off, AI RCAP
re tracts au tomatical ly.
When youre start the engine af ter having been
par ked, AIR CAPex tends au tomatically. Fi
tting/ removing the folding draught stop &
WARNING Risk of accident when using
th e draught stop in poor visibility condi‐
tions
The draught stop impairs your view tothe
re ar, particular ly when darkor in poor visibil‐
ity conditions. #
Only use the draught stop in good visi‐
bility conditions. &
WARNING Risk of accident and inju ry
due toan incor rectly fitted draught stop
If th e draught stop is not cor rectly fitted it
can come loose du ring the journey and
endanger other road users. Opening and closing

folding draught stop may collide with the
front seat backrests when fitted. #
Adjust the backrest positions of the
front seats. The
folding draught stop is fitted overth ere ar
seats toprotect against wind when driving with
th e soft top open. Only the front seats can be
occupied when thefo lding draught stop is fitted. The bag containing
thefo lding draught stop is
attached totheth ro ugh-loading feature behind
th ere ar seats. If youwa nttouse theth ro ugh-
loading feature, loosen the bag's lashing stra ps
and stow them in the boot. Fasten the lashing
st ra ps tothe luggage hook.
Yo u should preferably per form operations in volv‐
in g th efo lding draught stop on the side facing
aw ay from traf fic. #
Open all side windo wsand the soft top. #
Foldthere ar seats forw ard toremo vethe
bag. #
Remo vethefo lding draught stop from the
bag. #
Fold out folding draught stop 1 as shown. #
Fold out the two brac kets 2 tothe left and

with two rear fixtures 3ontheve hicle. Pe
rform thefo llowing steps in sequence on bo th
sides of theve hicle: #
Pull handle 5inthe direction of the ar row. #
Align folding draught stop 1 with side fix‐
ture 4ontheve hicle from abo veand insert. #
Push handle 5onfolding draught stop 1
back as far as it will go.
Fo lding draught stop 1 is loc ked.
Fo llow the instructions in reve rse order to
re mo vethefo lding draught stop. Problems with

The immobiliser is automatically activated when
th e ignition is switched off and deactivated when

alarm is triggered in thefo llowing situations:
