combination lap and shoulder belt should be
positioned low across the hips below the
belly and worn as tight as comfort will allow.
The shoulder belt should be positioned to
cross the middle of the shoulder and the
center of the chest.
Seatbelt Locking Modes WARNINGS
After any vehicle crash, the seatbelt
system at all passenger seating
positions must be checked by an authorized
dealer to verify that the automatic locking
retractor feature for child seats is still
functioning properly. In addition, all seatbelts
should be checked for proper function. The belt and retractor assembly must
be replaced if the seatbelt assembly
automatic locking retractor feature or any
other seatbelt function is not operating
properly when checked by an authorized
dealer. Failure to replace the belt and
retractor assembly could increase the risk of
injury in crashes. All safety restraints in the vehicle are
combination lap and shoulder belts. The
driver seatbelt has the vehicle sensitive
locking mode. The front outboard passenger
and rear seatbelts have both the vehicle
sensitive locking mode and the automatic
locking mode.Vehicle Sensitive Mode
This is the normal retractor mode, which
allows free shoulder belt length adjustment
to your movements and locking in response
to vehicle movement. For example, if the
driver brakes suddenly or turns a corner
sharply, or the vehicle receives an impact of
about 5 mph (8 km/h) or more, the
combination seatbelts will lock to help
reduce forward movement of the driver and
passengers.
In addition, the retractor is designed to lock
if the webbing is pulled out too quickly. If this
occurs, let the belt retract slightly and pull
webbing out again in a slow and controlled
manner.
Automatic Locking Mode
In this mode, the shoulder belt is
automatically pre-locked. The belt will still
retract to remove any slack in the shoulder
belt. The automatic locking mode is not
available on the driver seatbelt.

REAR SEAT ARMREST
Fold the armrest down to use the armrest
and cupholder. To open the storage lid, pull
up on the latch located between the
cupholders.
Armrest pass-through
Note:
Do not exceed 80 pounds (36
kilograms) of weight on the pass-through
door. Release the latch, then pull down on the door
located in the back of the armrest. You can
store cargo of a longer length such as skis
or lumber.

(30 cm), or when obstacles are detected
within 12–24 in (30–60 cm) and are inside
the driving path of your vehicle. When you
stop your vehicle the audible warning stops
after 2 seconds and the visual distance
indication stops after 4 seconds.
Note: If the obstacle remains within
12 in
(30 cm) visual distance indication remains
on.
If the transmission is in neutral (N), the side
sensing system only provides visual distance
indication when your vehicle is moving at
7 mph (12 km/h) or below, for example when
moving on a slope, and obstacles are
detected within
12 in (30 cm). When you stop
your vehicle the visual distance indication
stops after 4 seconds.
If the side sensing system is not available,
the side distance indicator blocks will not be
present.
The side sensing system is not available
under the following condition:
• If you switch the traction control system
off. The side sensing system may not be
available until you have driven approximately
the length of your vehicle in order for the
system to reinitialize if:
•
You switch the ignition on, off and back
on.
• Your vehicle remains stationary for over
two minutes.
• The anti-lock brake system is activated.
• The traction control system is activated.

Parallel Parking, Perpendicular
Parking, Parallel Park Out Assist WARNINGS
You must remain in your vehicle when
the system turns on. At all times, you
are responsible for controlling your vehicle,
supervising the system and intervening, if
required. Failure to take care may result in
the loss of control of your vehicle, serious
personal injury or death. WARNINGS
The sensors may not detect objects in
heavy rain or other conditions that
cause interference. Active park assist does not apply the
brakes under any circumstances.
At all times, you are responsible for
controlling your vehicle, supervising
the system and intervening, if required.
Failure to take care may result in the loss of
control of your vehicle, serious personal
injury or death. The system detects an available parallel or
perpendicular parking space and
automatically steers your vehicle into the
space (hands-free) while you control the
accelerator, gearshift and brakes. The system
visually and audibly guides you to park your
vehicle.
If you are uncomfortable with the proximity
to any vehicle or object, you may choose to
override the system.

The system does not position the vehicle where I want in the space
A parked vehicle has a high attachment (salt sprayer, snowplow or moving truck bed).
The parking space length or position of parked objects changed after your vehicle passed.
The temperature around your vehicle changes quickly (driving from a hea\
ted garage into the cold, or after leaving a car wash).
REAR VIEW CAMERA WARNINGS
The rear view camera system is a
reverse aid supplement device that still
requires the driver to use it in conjunction
with the interior and exterior mirrors for
maximum coverage. Objects that are close to either corner
of the bumper or under the bumper,
might not be seen on the screen due to the
limited coverage of the camera system. Back up as slow as possible since
higher speeds might limit your reaction
time to stop your vehicle. WARNINGS
Use caution when using the rear video
camera and the trunk is ajar. If the trunk
is ajar, the camera will be out of position and
the video image may be incorrect. All
guidelines (if enabled) have been removed
when the trunk is ajar. Use caution when turning camera
features on or off while in reverse (R).
Make sure your vehicle is not moving. The rear view camera system provides a
video image of the area behind your vehicle.
The image will display in either the rear view
mirror or the display in the center of the
instrument panel.During operation, lines will appear in the
display that represent your vehicle
’s path
and proximity to objects behind your vehicle. The camera is located on the trunk near the
high-mount brake lamp.
